It had been two weeks since Phil had left for travel leaving Tommy and himself at home. Techno appeared to normalize waking up, making breakfast for two, doing chores, making lunch for the two, talking to the teen, making dinner, then putting both Tommy and himself to bed.

It was just him and his....what was Tommy to him? He couldn't exactly call him a stranger nor trespasser. More like a guest? Yeah. A guest would work.

Techno poured some steamy coffee along for warm milk for his guest. He sat the two mugs down next to some ginger snap cookies with toast and eggs. Right as he went to go fetch the boy, knowing he was in deep sleeper, there was a stern knock at the door. It was still sun break. Way too early to be Phil. Yet no one dared visit him or so he believed.

Techno drew his sword. He quietly headed to a window for a peek at the visitor only to see a man dressed in all green and a mask. His eyes furrowed. He knew who the man was. That symbolic mask was hard to forget.

He needed to make the conversation quick so he could feed Tommy.

Thinking nothing of it, Techno opened the door slightly.

"Dream. I've been dying to see you at my doorstep so early in the morning." Sarcasm poured from Techno's lips. Or was that just his regular tone and voice?

"Hello Techno. May I come in? I promise I'll be quick." Dream- well his mask- stared intensely into his eyes with urgency and determination.

"Quick." Techno yawned stepping aside and letting the man into his living room. "Soooooo why did I get a visit from the infamous Dream, himself?"

Dream neglected the question looking around the place with great suspicion.

"You have a guest over?"  Dream asked monotone.

Lie!

Don't tell him about Tommy!

Protect Tommy!

Red flag!

Lie to him!

Protect Tommy, Techno!

Don't fail us or him.

DON'T TALK ABOUT TOMMY!

YOU BETTER FUCKING NOT

SLIT DREAM'S NECK!

BLOOD!

REVENGE

PROTECT TOMMY!!!!!

The voices in Techno's head shouted. They'd usually never be this aggressive and protective since Techno lost his brothers, even when they cried for blood.

"No. I'm expecting my buddy Steve to stop by. He keeps me company."

"Steve?"

"Polar bear buddy. Interesting enough Steve loves eggs and toast. I wanted to feed him some ginger snaps to document his reaction."
