09 : My Type (I Like Sassy Girls)

[ NISHIMURA MIU ]

"Riki, you can go home first." I stated without removing my eyes on the cafe booth. I am not a fan of coffee but I am kind of craving for something like it today. A frappe and cheesecake would be nice.

Riki glanced and raised his brow, "Alright." He turned around before lazily waving his right hand. I followed him with my eyes until he completely vanished. I then sassily put on my sunglasses before confidently walking towards the cafe.

"1 large green tea frappe and a slice of red velvet cheesecake, please." I said to the girl behind the counter, a friendly smile on my face. My gaze was drawn to her nameplate.

Kim Deji? That sounds familiar.

"May I have your name, Ma'am?" She asked. A smile was plastered on her face as well.

I cleared my throat before opening my mouth, "Miu."

She nodded and wrote my name on the cup. After that, she glanced at me again, "I will just call your name after preparing your order."

"Thanks." I replied before roaming my eyes around  the place to look for a vacant table. I was about to take a step when someone bumped into me. The iced latte on the tray he was holding, completely spilled on my white dress.

My mouth widened out of shock, "What the..."

He immediately took out a handkerchief from his pocket and handed it to me. I glared at him before glancing at his name plate.

"Stupid. Kim Sunoo." I muttered. His mouth widened in awe. His hand remained in the air, waiting for me to receive his handkerchief.

I violently snatched it from his hand and wiped my dress using it. Oh goodness. My precious dress! This costs fortune!

"I am sorry. I'll just pay for the dress-"

"No need." I gave his handkerchief back to him but he just shook his head.

"You can keep it." The corners of his lips rose which made me scoff. Now is not the time to smile, Mr. Kim Sunoo. You just ruined my day.

His smile faded at the next thing I did. It is obvious that he was not expecting that. Well, I just threw his handkerchief on the nearest trash bin.

"What? You said I can keep it? I am not the type who would keep garbage." I noticed how he clenched his jaw. He closed his eyes before taking a deep breath, probably to calm himself.

He opened his eyes again, a smirk slowly formed on his lips, "Sassy. Just my type." He said before walking past me.

I got stunned. If only someone hadn't grabbed my shoulder, I could have remained in this position, frozen, all day.

"Miu? What are you doing here?" Jay asked with a hint of confusion.

Another stupid person.

"This is a cafe. I am probably here to swim." I sarcastically stated before walking towards the vacant table. I heard his chuckle as he followed behind me.

I sat on the char as he invited himself over and sat across me. He was still wearing his apron and appears to be taking a short break.

"You're alone? That's rare."

My brows arched, "What do you mean?"

He pursed his lips, suppressing a smile, "You usually have a bodyguard with you."

I scoffed before looking away. I crossed my arms and leaned on the backrest, "It's okay. I feel safe here." I muttered while roaming my eyes around the place.

"Why? Because I am here?" He stated mischievously. That made me look at him.

"How are you and your new girlfriend?" I tried changing the topic.

His smile faded. He cleared his throat before fixing his position, "Girlfriend? What girlfriend?" He stated, acting innocent.

"The girl you were with." I sternly replied, "The day we met at the mall."

"Ah! You mean Vera?" He inquired while raising a brow.

The hell I care with that bitch's name, "Yeah, whatever."

He laughed. I almost shushed him because the people near our table started to look at our direction. Jay, on the other hand, appears completely unaware. He doesn't care if anyone hears him.

"I don't know..."

My forehead creased because of his response, "You don't what?"

He shrugged his shoulders before crossing his arms, "I kind of forget her face already. All I remember was that... she's hot, the reason why I dated her."

I unbelievably gasped. He smirked before standing up. He put on his cap as he fixed his apron, "Gotta go, Miu. I still have work to do. Enjoy your food."

This damn playboy.
