02 : Apology (How Stupid of You)

[ NISHIMURA MIU ]

Park Sunghoon? I looked away and swallowed hard. That name actually sounds quite familiar, although I did not meet him yet.

I heard Riki's soft chuckle beside me. I glanced at him and raised a brow. He just shook his head before pursing his lips.

After the dinner, I immediately went inside my room. I rarely use the internet but this is an important matter. I need to search his name online to know more about his information.

I clicked my tongue and sighed after reading a lot of comments about him.

As I was expecting, he is indeed a girls' magnet.

I TIGHTENED the grip of my bag as I walked inside the cafe confidently. I roamed my eyes around the area and arched my brow when I saw Park Sunghoon talking to a girl customer.

I grabbed his shoulder, never minding the girl he's talking with and gave him the sweetest, yet fakest smile I could ever have, "Hi."

His brows shot up, shock and confusion were all over his face. He roamed his eyes around the place before pointing himself, "Me?"

I secretly scoffed, "Yes. You're Park Sunghoon, right?"

He swallowed hard before consciously looking around again. He then grabbed my arm as he let me sit on a vacant chair away from the other customers.

"What do you want?" He sternly asked.

I clicked my tongue, "My name's Nishimura Miu." I said hoping it would ring a bell to him.

"Yes, I know. But what do you want?"

"We're getting engaged. You didn't know?" I straightforwardly said. I don't care anymore. I just want this to be done.

He sighed before taking off his apron. He sat across me as he placed his interlaced fingers on top of the table, "I already know about that but-"

"Good, then. I hope you're against it."

He nodded his head and pursed his lips, "Miu, I actually don't want to get married yet-"

"Same here."

"I want to enjoy-"

"Yes, exactly my point."

He creased his forehead and eyed me annoyingly, "May I finish talking first?"

I cleared my throat and looked away. I signaled him to continue talking without looking at him.

"As I have said, I don't want to get married. I don't have the interest to inherit our company, either. They actually told me about our engagement and they are still waiting for my response. However, I don't want to, and I am sure they will understand."

I glanced at him and nodded, "I am glad we have the same opinion. Tell your parents about it. Tell them you don't want to get married. That way, the engagement will be cancelled."

Because I know, if I am the one who would tell my grandfather about it, nothing would change.

They just don't care about my opinion.

"But I am curious, though. Do you hate me? Why do you dislike the idea of us, getting married?" He said and flashed a mischievous grin.

I was about to open my mouth to respond when someone stood behind him, "Park Sunghoon."

I arched my brow when I recognized that it was the crazy guy I met the other day. I rolled my eyes and looked away.

Sunghoon slightly got shocked as he glanced at me before turning his back to face the guy.

I grabbed my bag and stood up, "I'll be going Sunghoon. Thank you for your time."

I was about to walk away when the guy grabbed my arm, "Wait."

He took off his apron and dragged me outside the cafe. I violently swung my arm to remove it from his grip but he is just way too strong, "What the hell is your problem again?!"

He took me to a secluded area where no one is able to find us. I gritted my teeth, "Do you really want to get sued? You are already harassing me-"

"I am sorry."

I halted.

"I am sorry, Miu. I was just desperate. I really thought she came back..."

I unconsciously gulped when I saw a tear gushing down on his face. He licked his lower lip and sighed, "You two really look the same. I almost thought she was you. I was stupid for acting like that without thinking and I would like to sincerely apologize."

I scoffed, "Why? What happened? Is she dead?"

He stared at me in the eyes. I smirked and looked down to his clenched, shaking fists.

Oh, did I hit him hard?

"So she's dead?" I laughed out loud. I stepped forward towards him and fixed his collar as I placed and rested my hands on his shoulders,

"Gosh... how stupid of you to think she will come back alive?"
