Emergency Part 2

Database was pacing the hospital room, rocking Sally to try to get her to fall asleep. It was clear she was tired, Isabella was too, so Database just told her to try and sleep while he took care of Sally. Not to say that Isabella was actually sleeping, she was far too worried about her other kid to relax, let alone sleep. "This is taking far too long for my liking.." Isabella mumbled. Sally finally started to settle as Database tried to find something to say...everything that was coming to mind wouldn't help. "I- I don't know honey.." He spoke in a hushed voice, considering Sally had finally fallen asleep. Isabella nearly started crying again. "What are we gonna do Angelo?"

"Well, like I said earlier, at this point we kinda just have to wait on someone to come in here and give us news," Just then Ronin and Venus walked through the door. Database sighed- Whether it be from relief or more stress it was hard to tell. He gently handed Sally to Isabella before walking past the other 2 outside, beckoning them to come with him. "Anything yet?" Venus asked. Database shook his head no. "Nothing." Venus gave him a hug. "You look exhausted." Databsse chuckled and rubbed his eyes. "Yeah, mostly because last night I didn't get much sleep, and from the minute I got here I've been taking care of Sally and trying to reassure Isabella-"

"And that's good, Angelo, but you gotta consider yourself too." Ronin interrupted. Database sighed again, a kind of defeated one. "I just feel bad."

"About what?" Venus asked. Before Database could answer a doctor came up behind him and tapped him on the shoulder. "You're Sophie's father, correct?"

"Yes! Yes, that's me, is she alright?"

"She's..well, I think it's best if we go in the room and include your wife in the conversation. Are these 2 family as well..?" The doctor was referring to Venus and Ronin. Database glanced at the 2 of them. "Uh, sure, yeah." All 4 individuals went into the room to see Isabella sitting on the couch, and Sally sleeping on it next to her. She jumped up when she saw the doctor. "Where's Sophie? Is she alright?!"

"Your husband asked the same thing, she's stable, at the very least." That didn't sound very promising. "Well will she be alright? Will she live?" Isabella egged on. The doctor hesitated. "She'll be alright for now." They hesitated again. "But I can't promise she'll..live."

"What's wrong with her??" Database questioned, now at his wife's side trying to comfort her. "Well, we're pretty sure it's cancer, based on what happened and what we found during surgery. We'll still run the tests to be sure but that's what we're thinking. And if we're correct, we're also thinking that she might be in the stage 3 or 4 zone."

"...so you're saying if it is cancer, and she is in the 3rd or 4th stage of it, nothing can be done." Database asked, almost whispering. "I mean, assuming she's only in stage 3 we could try, but it will be painful if it's a long-winded fight. But, just to clarify, it could not be cancer, it could be something else we didn't catch. We still have to run the tests." It went quiet, besides Isabella now crying. "I'll leave you all to talk. One of the nurses should come back shortly with Sophie." The doctor then left. Database appeared to just have a calm face, mostly focused on trying to comfort Isabella, but it was getting increasingly difficult to keep that up. Ronin and Venus shared worried glances, both now sitting in a chair (Ronin was sitting in the chair, Venus on the armrest). Venus didn't really want to say anything...they aren't the best at comforting in this kind of situation, and anything they say will sound doctor-y. Isabella took a deep breath, composing herself and trying to distract. "H-How have you 2 been?" Ronin shrugged and Venus gave a sympathetic smile. "Its been alright."

"That's good. Sally's been a real handful, both of them have," She said with a chuckle. Database gave a weak, almost empty laugh. "Hey Angelo, come here." Ronin finally spoke, walking towards the door. Database just got up and followed after kissing Isabella on the cheek. Once they were sat a bit down the hallway on a bench, Ronin handed Database a water bottle. "Drink. Breath for a minute." Database just silently took the water and took a sip out of it. "Why exactly did you bring me out here..?"
