Riley's pov:

I am in my room right now packing for Maple High School. My Mom is downstairs waiting for me. I look around my room and stop when I reach Karter my hamster. I'm not sure if we are allowed to have pets in the dorms, buttttttt I don't care. I walk over to him, pick up his cage, and put a cover over it. It isn't a big cage, so I should be able to sneak him in. I look around my room one last time. Better to leave it like this....messy. I don't have time to clean up. If my parents want to they can. I walk over to my door and head upstairs.

"MOM, I HAVE TO LEAVE NOW," I yell, not knowing where exactly she is. I hear the backdoor open and there walks in my Mom.

"Oh Hunny," My Mom says, "I am so proud of you, same with your Dad. You have to call us later, so your dad can say bye"

"Yea, I know Mom." Sadly my Dad had work today so I couldn't say bye to him. I did say bye at night, but yea knows.

"Love you, Riley. Have fun." My Mom says hugging me.

"Love you Mom, see you soon."

I take my bags (Dragging them out) and put them in the back of a cab.

"Where to son." The cab driver says to me.

I sigh, not too loud so he can't hear me, "To Maple Wood High, please."

"Alright."

The ride there was silent which I was thankful for. I didn't want to be talking to a random person at the moment. I have to hype myself up for meeting new people and talking to them at school, not in a cab.

The ride took about 10 mins tops, which I was happy about. When I arrived it wasn't that busy. Mind you it was like 8 am and the latest you could come at was noon. The cab driver was nice enough and helped me carry my bags to school. Once I got inside there was one person at a table. I walked over to him. He looked and me and asked "Name?"

"Uhhhh, Riley?" I said with a confused expression.

"Grade?"

"10"

"Last name........never mind you're the only Riley in grade 10."

Thank goodness. I didn't want there to be Riley one and Riley two. Like no, thank you.

"Anyways," he began, "Your dorm room is 213. Here is your key. It is right down that hallway. You should have two other dorm mates."

Great just great. TWO other people. I would have been happy with just one. "Thank you," I say to him, as I grab the key and my stuff.

"Do you need help caring your stuff?" He asked me.

"No, I will be fine. Thank you."

I take all of the stuff and start walking toward my dorm room.  There is a door you have to open that leads you outside. Then another one that leads you into another building. (which is where the dorms are) Once I reach my dorm I put the key in till I hear a
