Who would ever think Layla would be lost? Well, Jake never did. Jake was the type of a boy who had great responsibility. And Layla was never he could afford to lose. For Jake Layla was everything. His pet, best friend, and world. He loved her on a whole another level.

Now you may think why he was so obsessed with a dog? Well, Layla has been with Jake since he was a young boy. Layla has always been with Jake even in the rough times. So without Layla Jake would never be much happier than before.

Jake was your great classmate. You didn't speak to him and he did the same to you. When it came to the group projects you did have a small talk together but that didn't mean anything to both of you. You knew he had a dog named Layla since he kept talking about her with his friends.

You adored him for being a nice boy even though he never did anything to you. It wasn't because you had feelings for him you just liked seeing nice people.

One day after school which was a Friday you wanted to take a little walk in a park since you needed to clear your mind. You had exams starting on Monday and wanted a new fresh start. In conclusion, Jake needed that new start too. So he took Layla with him and had a nice walk with her.

Confusing but true you guys didn't even get to meet each other. Not because the park was big but there were two different parks. And between them belongs a forest. That forest wasn't big either.

Normally you would go out walking with your headset listening to some music but this time you decided to let it slip. Time has passed and you finally decided to go home but what you could see was coming your way was a light brown creamed dog. It had nice fluffy fur. It looked lost so you wanted to help out.

You came closer and sat down until it would come to you. It did take a few steps for Layla to be a little closer. Closer and then closer until you could pet her. You then suddenly saw a chain and read the name out. "Layla?" "Sounds familiar" You thought to yourself. You knew that the name sounded similar but then a light pump popped up in your head. "Oh wait. You must be Jakes's dog!" You smiled. "Are you lost?" You asked but she just kept swinging with her tail. You got up and tried to search for Jake but he never seemed to appear. "Let's go around, and search for your owner" you added before taking her along with you.

You guys spent a good time in the woods and then in the other park but you didn't seem to find him. You gave up and went back to the park. You instead wanted to take Layla to the dog center where she could eventually be found by Jake later. But when you arrived you saw a tall chocolate-haired boy on the bench sitting. You weren't sure if it was the one you were looking for until you came closer. "Oh?... Layla!" He jumped off and immediately hugged her as soon as he saw her.

You didn't say anything but smiled at how happy they both looked finding each other. He then turned his head up to you and stood up. "Thank you" he made a little bow and tried to hand you money but you refused. "Ah! No way I can take that, Jake... she wasn't lost for a long time right?" You scoffed. "Still though. You don't know how much-" but you already interrupted him. "Yeah I know how much she means the world to you but I don't care about money. Besides I had fun walking around with Layla" you both giggle until you bend down to say goodbye to Layla. "I hope to see you again" you petted her before leaving. "Hey wait-" he gently grabbed your arm.

"Since you liked Layla that much. Why don't we just hang out and grab a cup of coffee?" He smirked looking down at Layla who was letting out her tongue. You kind of blushed at his request since you kind of maybe just a little bit like this boy. He saw your happy face and knew that you were up for it. "Ready?"

You guys hung out in the small coffee shop you could find in the town. It was about 10 pm and you guys were already hyped up due to the countless coffee drinks you guys had. You both stopped talking as you only were watching each other admiring the beauty you both had. He knew there was a little awkwardness in this so he quickly cleared his throat.

"Hey... why don't you keep hanging out with Layla? Seems like she loved you!" He smiled. "Sure! I like her too." He giggles at your cute response. "You better like me too.."
