"You have five minutes to decide how you will use your role. Good luck." Oracle announced. I found myself back in this pitch-black room with the checkered floor. It's not like I wasn't expecting to be back here at some point, but knowing that I would come back doesn't make it any easier...
The investigation this time leaves much more to be desired as well. I guess the pressure of lacking information stresses me out. My only reliable partner was too distraught to do anything, and my less reliable partner didn't show me anything useful for this case. George made himself look like the killer again, and Tristan actively opposed me. It seems as though my hand is limited.
"You have all made your decisions. Let the trial commence!" Oracle spoke, and the door opened just like the last time. It leads into the same dreamy chessboard with the giant chess pieces surrounding it. The marble floor cracked in some spots and was perfect in others. Violin and Piano once again played through the massive room. This time, it sounded a bit more sinister than before. It might just be my imagination.
I looked to my right towards Angel, who was walking ever so slowly towards her platform with heavy bags under her eyes. Straight across was Jasper, who gave me a cheeky smile from the other side, his green and yellow eyes shining the only color in this black-and-white room. Then, on my left was Tristan, who was smirking to himself. On my right was George, who was as pale as a ghost.
We all arrived at our platforms. Isabelle's spot stayed stationary this time as the rest of ours rose several meters into the air. It seems another will be joining you tonight, Isabelle...
"To restate the rules, you all have the power of Judge, Jury, and Executioner. The killer will be executed if the majority vote lands on the right answer. Otherwise, the killer will have to pick someone to die in their place, depending on their role. You have as much time as needed to decide on what to do. And if you land on a tie with the killer, both will be executed. Any questions?" Oracle's mighty, deep voice echoed through the large room.
"Yeah, I have a question." Jasper raised his hand like he was in class.
"It isn't necessary to raise your hand," Oracle responded.
"Haha, well, I was wondering what would happen if two people were killed, but by different killers. Who would be on trial? And what would happen to the other killer?" Jasper questioned.
"Why would you even ask something like that!?" Annie exclaimed, but Jasper didn't respond.
"The first body discovered will be on trial, while the second would be considered null. Does that answer your question?" Oracle responded.
"Good enough for me," Jasper pondered for a second.
"Then good luck," Oracle restated before going silent.
"You're a strange guy Jasper," Leo crossed his arms.
"Thanks," Jasper put his hands behind his head.
"Before we begin, might I confirm that no one is blackmailed? This would confirm Willows role." Elizabeth suggested.
"Are you suggesting that she lied to us?..." Angel's broken voice echoed throughout the room.
"Anything is possible," Elizabeth glared.
"Well, I can speak just fine this time," Matt scratched the back of his head. He seemed a bit bummed out.
"Everything is clear on my end," Alex pushed up his glasses.
"S-Same here," George nervously added.
"The blackmailer is dead. There is no reason for this check." Tristan smirked.
