Wooyoung's life was not perfect, he is not perfect but every time he sees the scars of one of his friends or some stranger he realizes how lucky he was. In this world, in this society not even being an alpha saves you from abuse, some unfortunately were outnumbered and seriously hurt.

Wooyoung silently thanked for not causing too much trouble, his skin was free from damage and if he had bumps it was surely because of his clumsiness. He lamented that he couldn't do anything when he witnessed the violence of the university students, but the selfish side of him told him that it was better to stay free of other people's business.

Of course, before he met a cute omega named Yeosang, he initially thought that the boy was a beta due to the lack of essence in his body, but then he noticed the use of suppressors. The black-haired boy was a transfer student in his unit, he was quiet and hardly anyone bothered to look at him due to the thought that he was just another insignificant beta.

The cold treatment of the other students towards Yeosang gave him a better access to the beautiful friendship they now had, nobody interrupted their conversations in whispers and nobody sought to violently woo the omega.

"Yeosang, do you think Batman is better than Superman? Because it is more than clear that the man in red shorts is superior" the boy next to him rolled his eyes as he ate popcorn, "Oh come on, are you going to deny me?"

"You talk a lot when we watch movies" he settled more comfortably into the other's lap, letting his head rest on the alpha's shoulder, "You're so loud Woo."

"What! You offend me Kang Yeosang, you offend me a lot!" the raven's adorable laugh was enough for the alpha to feel his cheeks burn, he grabbed some popcorn and placed it in the other's mouth, "Better keep watching the damn movie, rude."

Yeosang smiled before leaving a small kiss on Wooyoung's cheek, the violet haired man couldn't help his small smile but he still tried to hide it. Nights like these were Yeosang's idea, both relaxing on the omega's sofa, accompanied by food and a movie or series.

Wooyoung admired how Yeosang had evolved with him, before he only spoke small words to him and now he hugged him without the other initiating contact. It was a process of a couple of months but it was worth the wait, the alpha could now simply demand a hug without the boy being scared or hesitating.

"Batman is better" he leaned in until his nose was right on the alpha's pheromone glands, gently rubbing the spot inhaling the pheromones and relaxing, "Do you think Batman would smell like you?"

"I doubt it, surely his smell would be extremely strong and irritating" the other laughed before hiding his nose in the back of Wooyoung's neck, the alpha hugged him feeling that something was worrying the black-haired man, "Are you worried? Your heat is coming?"

"Hmm no, just that I've been thinking about a couple of things."

"Someone said something bad to you? If any alpha dared to say something sexist or-"

"No, no, no, no one told me anything...it's just, it's kind of pathetic" he lifted his face to look directly at the other who frowned slightly, Yeosang sighed and played with his fingers, "Well you see...I've been thinking I don't know, maybe meet your friends?"

"Do you want to meet them?" Wooyoung previously wanted to introduce Yeosang to his group but the omega simply told him that he would not feel comfortable and that maybe later he would dare to start a conversation.

So this is a big surprise, Wooyoung knew that the dark-haired man had a hard time trusting people, but he didn't know the real reason why. But he suspected it had something to do with the scars on his shoulder and back.
