Y/N stared right back at the yellow eyes that pierced through his own. The growling was growing more ferocious.

"Fuck me..." He grumbled.

Then, he got eaten...

Ah! Hahaahaahhahahhaaaahahaha! I'm just kidding. Don't go insulting me for lying to you; I'm the narrator, and I get to decide how this story's told! So, you just sit down, shut up, and keep reading.

Ok, so, Y/N didn't get eaten by wolves, but right now, let's shift the focus to the nearby village. At the village entrance, there stood a small group of adventurers. One of them was a dark elf, one was a human swordsman, and the third was an orc berserker.

The human and the elf were sharing a single match with which they lit their pipes, while the orc was intently picking his nose.

"So, when do you think these bandits'll show up?" The human asked.

The dark elf blew a smoke ring from her mouth, "Who knows, but if I was a raiding bandit, I'd strike at night, under the cover of darkness."

"That's just you speaking as a dark elf..."

Suddenly, the group heard distant screams coming from the forest. The human and dark elf quickly extinguished their pipes and readied their weapons.

"Hey! Somethin's comin'!" The orc called out, cracking his knuckles.

"Is that...fire?" The dark elf asked with curiosity.

Suddenly, those three bandits from earlier burst from the trees screaming in pain as they were still on fire from earlier. They all ran up the road for a short distance before succumbing to their injuries and falling dead on the ground.

"Well...that happened..." The human said.

"So...does that mean we get paid for doing nothing?" The orc asked giddily.

"There can't just be three..." The dark elf said.

Another scream came from the forest, and the party readied their weapons again.

Then, Y/N jumped out of the brush like a madman and ran towards the adventurers, all while shouting, "Ohshitohshitohshitohshit!" The whole way.

"Who's this guy?" The orc asked.

Almost as if on cue, the pack of wolves jumped out of the brush and followed Y/N. Realistically, they should've caught up to him ages ago, but the Marathon Runner skill came in handy.

"FUUUUUUUUUUUCK!" Y/N shouted at the top of his lungs. The adrenaline that was running through him took his mind off of keeping track of his breathing.

"We gotta help that guy!" The human said, running towards the wolves.

"Well, better than nothing!" the orc said, bumping his fists together. The metal on his gloves made a sharp clang when they hit each other.

Y/N ran past all the adventurers as they ran towards the wolves. Wolves were simple creatures in comparison to the other beings of this world. After losing a few of their numbers, the pack decided that it wasn't worth the trouble, so they all left, deciding to make an easy meal out of the burnt bandits.
