Everyone knows about the isekai scenario: someone living a normal life in their world dies or gets magically transported to a whole new world, usually one full of fantasy, magic, otherworldly beings that exist in myth, and of course, a life full of...
Around a large table sat the five council members of the Arcana. Their leader, Magician silently walked around them as they waited nervously for what his next move would be. When Magician walked behind one of the members, they kept their faces forward, not wanting to look Magician in the eye. The ones that did look up to see Magician's face saw that he looked disappointed or judgmental. They could feel his presence whenever he was behind them and when he was walking around the table.

Magician disappointed
(In case you never knew what the Arcana members looked like, they kind of look like this.)
Soon, Magician stopped behind a member with seven white dots running the middle of her ethereal body. He placed his hands on her shoulders and she tensed up.
"You know, Star..." Magician spoke in a calm tone, which made the council members more anxious, "I thought it was quite odd that I felt Death die when I'm certain I told him to stay within the tower." Magician took his hands off of Star's shoulders and walked over to the next council member. He placed his hand on Hanged Man's round head.
"I could understand if he decided to step outside every once in a while; it does get musty in here." Magician said before moving on to the next member. He leaned in close behind Sun, placed his chin on his head, and wrapped his arms around his body.
"Death could've gotten bored and decided to walk around the tower for a bit, just to see the sights and the life, but that's no reason for him to die, is it, Sun?" Magician asked. He ran his fingers along Sun's chest, right over where his crystal heart would be.
"N-no, my-my lord..." Sun stuttered.
"So..." Magician left Sun alone and moved to Wheel's seat. He leaned himself on the wheel surrounding her as he placed his head next to hers, "Unless the Hero discovered a way to kill Death from a far distance, or unless Death decided to kill himself, both of which seem very unlikely, I see no reason for him to have died, right Wheel? What do you think most likely happened?"
Magician didn't wait for Wheel's answer. He left her alone and stood in front of his seat. He tapped his fingers on the table, the only noise in the silence. Then he slammed his palms down and started yelling.
"DO YOU THINK YOU CAN JUST DEFY MY ORDERS JUST BECAUSE I GIVE YOU A LITTLE LEEWAY?!"
All the council members flinched as Magician went off on his rant. Ever since the High Priestess's betrayal, Magician had run the Order more scrutinously in order to prevent something like that from happening again.
"WHAT MAKES YOU THINK YOU CAN MAKE A CRITICAL DECISION SUCH AS THAT WITHOUT MY PERMISSION?!"
The council was silent; too afraid to say anything to Magician.
