Chapter 9-Homeward Bound

"Ty can I tell you something" Jack said as he slowly entered the room. "Of course are you okay" Ty asked as Jack looked worn out and tears began to form. Ty hugged jack and comforted him. "I just feel like I caused this, if I just stopped pressuring him to do more" Jack whined as ty's embrace got tighter. "Look Tims alive and hey everyone knows it's not your fault now you need to get some rest as I think tomorrow is going to be hell for the lot of us" Jack went to bed and Ty got back in his truck and returned to the hospital. 

(9 hours later at 06:00)

Dominic woke from his slumber and just smiled wether it as the feeling of the fresh country air or wether it was his very spefic location he couldn't tell. Creeping down the stairs in order to wake up Jack Dominic entered the kitchen and started preparing a lovely breakfast of pancakes. Soon after Jack woke up to the smell of properly cooked pancakes and part of him wondered if Lou had returned in the night. "Ahh good morning jack, I thought we could all do with some breakfast so I made a lot of pancakes. Also ot some messgaes Everyoone is coming home today so that's something to look forward too." Dominic said with a smile which in turn made Jack feel a whole better. 

As the sun breached the horizon a car pulled up outside the house and entered both Amy and Georgie who both looked exhausted Jack hugged them both before they each went to their bedrooms to get a decent amount of sleep. oth Jack and Dominic spend the morning chatting about some particular things to distract themselves from everything else around them. "I love talking to you Jack but I am going to go make sure the horses are all clean and fed" Dominic said as he exited the house and walked over to the barn. Shortly after he left both Lou and Tim returned to Heartland forming a even biger smile on Jacks face. He hugged them both. "You guys hungry" Jack asked after he had stopped hugging them. "Grandpa did you cook" Lou asked a bit shocked at the sight before her. "Hahaha no this is Dominic's handy work, his currently tending to the horses while we recover a bit" Jack responded as he handed both lou and Tim some breakfast.

Dominic finished giving all the horses some food when hs phone went off opening up his phone he saw he had a text from Alex or more importantly he had about fifty. Upon reading them Dominic was confused and instead of texting he decided to call her. Her yelling was so loud that he had to hold the phone as far away from his ear as possible however Dominic was still clueless to why she was mad as the last two days flew past as they were incredily hetic. However suddenly she sent him a picture of him hugging Georgie at the hospital and then said the words that Dominic hated moe than ever. "What the... Look I never thought I have to say this but it's her it will always be her and i'm sorry that things didn't work out but you brang this on yourself" Dominic quietly replied before hanging up the phone. 

Dominic deicded to get in his car and go home as he needed to spend more time with his own family however just as he opened his car door Georgie opened her bedroom window an wave at him. He saw her wave and smiled at her while waving goodbye. Starting hs car engine he drove up the dirtpath toowards his home.
