Chapter 13-The offer

Waking up bright and early Dominic got dressed and raced down past his early rising parents and into the barn. "Today is the day when wildflower comes home and it needs to be perfect." Dominic muttered to himself unaware that his older brother was watching. Smiling Lloyd decided to leave his brother to it and catch up with him later. Just as Lloyd reentered the main house the post came. "Mom, Dad Have you seen this? It's a letter for Dom from a music academy" Lloyd said as he stepped into the kitchen. Their faces were met with shock had Dominic secretly applied to a music academy without asking them. Hayley went straight to open the letter but Stuart stopped her. "No honey, it's best if we let Dominic open it before we do that way we can ask what is going on". 

The family were quickly drawn to the horse carriage pulling up outside by the barn. "Guess today is the day Wildflower comes home." Skye said entering the kitchen. "Ohhh" Hayley, Stuart and Lloyd said in unison before making their way towards the barn leaving Skye in the kitchen. "Do you have Everything you need to look after her?" Ty asks without a tint of concern in his voice. "Yes Everythings here and ready for her" Dominic replied with a smile. "Hahaa there wasn't a doubt in my mind i've got to go but good luck and have fun." Ty said as he locked up the back of the horse trailer and got in his truck to head back to heartland. As the rest of the Family saw Ty leave Dominic was making sure Wildflower was comfortable in her stall. 

"Son can we talk with you?" Stuart asked as Hayley and him stood just behind Dominic in the barn. "Sure, what's up." Dominic responded. Hayley and stuart looked at each other before handing Dominic a letter. "Opening the letter Dominic got lost in reading it and found himself sitting in disbelief on the floor. " A Scholorship for two years" Dominic stated adjusting his postion as he saw his parents reaction. "When did you apply to a music school?" Hayley asked. "I didn't" Dominic responded shifting his focus to wildflower. "Do you want to do it?" Lloyd asked trying not to press the situation. "I don't know" Dominic replyed. Walking in to the barn Amy approached the family gathered round the pen. "I hope I am not interuptting anything but Dominic I need your help" Amy Asked plainly. "Of course" Dominic replyed before following Amy to her truck without saying goodbye to his family. 

The pair sat in the truck in silence as it traveled down the dirt road. "You seem like you have something on your mind what is it?" Amy asked, Dominic looked down before looking at Amy who kept her eyes on the road. "I reccived a letter from a music school informing me that they want to offer me a two year Scholarship starting right now." Dominic replied with such hype and sadness in his tone. Pulling over to the side of the road Amy could clearly see that Dominic was upset. "This is really eating you up isn't it?" Amy asked with a confident look on her face. Dominic didn't even move a muscle to look at Her instead he left the car and walked a bit of a distance to be alone with his thoughts. Not knowing what to do Amy called Ty who came straight away.

Amy left and headed to Heartland while Ty stayed and tracked down Dominic. "I Understand how it can all be overwhelming for you but talk to me what has got you down about this piece of news." Ty said as he sat on a bench with Dominic. "If I leave then i'm leaving her and I don't think I can do that." Dominic replied. "Wildflower" Ty responded. Dominic smiles at Tys reponse. "No Not her I know she will be cared for" Dominic said as he looked down at the ground. "Oh you mean Georgie, You really care for her" Ty responds causing a look of shock to form on Dominic's face. "Is it that obvious?" Dominic asked as he lifted his average head. "Cheer up, you guys are good together we have all noticed but the one person you need to talk to is her and I think I can help you with that." Ty said as he stood up fetching the keys from his dusty tight jeans "How?" Dominic asked walking to Tys truck. Throwing them directly to Dominics suprising clean hands ty smiled. "You drive" Ty said.

Time flew past them as they smiled and enjoyed the fresh air blowing in through the windows. They pulled up to Heartland and were greeted by suprise from Amy, Gerogie and Lou. "That was quick" Amy said out loud catching Lous attention. "Right Everyone in the kitchen now" Lou screamed as Both jack and Tim arrived. Entering the kitchen everyone was greeted with a look of anger and fustration which made them all feel uncomfortable. "What is going on, and tell me the truth?" Lou asked in a assertive manner. "Dominic got a scholarship offer from a music school for two years" Tim blurted out. "Tim" Ty said. "Dad, that was not your thing to tell" Amy stated in a tone of displeasure. "No it's okay Amy, I have been offered a two year scholarship and I have made up my mind on what to do" Dominic said. The family looked at him determined to know the answer. "I will tell you but not today, I need to be going Jack could I get a Lift home?" Dominic asked as Jack nodded yes they both left and headed towards the heart ranch.
