Matters of the heart

Chapter 11-The Heart Ranch

"This place really needs a lot of work Dad" Skye said as both her and Stuart stood looking over all of the 23 Acres they now owned, "Isn't that the truth" Dominic said as he walked out of the barn. "Well what you standing around for come on we got work to do" Jack said as he closed his truck door. "First thing we need to fix these fences" Jack said grabbing a hammer from his tool set. The work around the ranch picked up very quickly and within hours you could clearly see the progress that the team had made. By the end of the day it was fixed up and ready to be operational however now they had to decide what exactly they were planing to produce. 

"Uhh guys i've got to go" Dominic said as he walked towards the exit of the Ranch. There at the exit he saw Georgie standing with the most beautiful long hair he swore he ever saw. "I hear you've upgraded" Georgie said as she saw the sillhotte of Dominic appear. "Hahaha upgraded that's a strange way of seeing it." Dominic said smirking as the words left the confines of his mouth. "So any ideas what your familys main production will be?" Georgie asked curious of the answer. "Knowing my dad it will be most likely Dairy farming plus with me looking after horses I really don't know what the future will hold but i'm looking forward to it." Dominic said with a smile. "I just hope i'm in it" Georgie replied before walking on to the ranch to see everyone else. The feelings of sadness completely esacped Dominic's mind as he followed behind her. 

After a short while of standing around talking Jack decides it is time he got on with work at his own ranch leaving the heart family to kickstart theirs. "Right I have enough money to purchase 60 cows which holepfully will help us start up at least but we need something to promote our ranch, does anyone have any ideas" Stuart asked his family with a mellow voice. "I have one idea what if we held a rodeo fesival where Dominic could perform and we can ask Tim and Amy to do some tricks." Skye responded in a happy manner. "Excellent thinking Skye it's a plan lets set it up." Hayley replied ending the conversation and getting everyone back to work. Hard at work Dominic was weilding the concert stage together piece by piece while his dad made a few calls with soe old friends of his to hopefully bring in some celebs to help boost popularity. Hayley Heart watched her family work together before swallowing her pride and phoning Heartland to ask for their help. 

Everyone was on board with the plan and ready to go the only thing waiting on them now was the guests and arrival of a few celebs who argeed to help out just this once. Dominic and Skye went around the entire town putting up leaflets and posters talking about the festival and made sure they talked about it loudly mentioning the key words of it being free and fun. After making sure they covered everywhere they went back to the ranch and drifted off to sleep.
