"Delilah wake up!" I heard Dan scream as I jolted awake.

"Dan what are you doing? It like 4:00 am! I was having a great dream!" It was true. I was dreaming about flying with Peter Pan.

"We have a flight to Los Angeles Delilah!" he shouted. "Come on, we're going to be late!"

The trip! I had completely forgot! How did I forget that? I literally packed my bad right before I went to sleep. I immeadatly jumped out of bed, and I noticed I had put on clothes that I could wear on the plane the night before. Smart move Dellilah of the past, smart move. I sprinted out of my room to the kitchen to get some cereal.

"What will it be this morning princess?" Dad asked me.

        "Shreddies please Dad!"

"Are you excited for the trip?" he asked me with a mouth full of his own cereal.

"Yeah! I can finally meet the YouTubers I love, your friends, I get to go to Disneyland, and its actually warm in California!" I said rapidly.

Dad laughed. "That is all true!" he said booping me on the nose. Dan came into the kitchen with his luggage at that moment. I hopped up from the table and tackled him with a hug.

"Dan, Dan, Dan, Dan WE ARE GOING TO CALIFORNIA!"

"Delilah calm down, we have a twelve hour plane trip first."

Immediately my stomach dropped. The flight. In the air. Miles above the ground. My cheerful disposition visibly changed. I could tell because Phil turned around and came over to comfort me.

"Delilah, I forgot you've never been on a flight! I promise its not as bad as it sounds. There are movies, and you can go to sleep, and you forget that you are in the air at all." he told me, wrapping me in a tight embrace.

"O-okay dad, I trust you," I told him timidly

"Good!" he said. "Let's get this show on the road!

When we arrived at the airport I was immediately overwhelmed. The building itself was huge, and I could imagine anyone getting lost within a second. People rushed past, scrambling to make their flight. I clung to my dad, fearing getting lost more than anything.

We arrived at security and Dad and Dan helped me get through. Even though I knew I didn't have anything bad, I was still super nervous when they stopped the scanner on my bag.

We arrived at our gate with plenty of time to spare, so we all went to the Starbucks at our gate. I ordered a vanilla bean frappachino, Dan ordered a coffee, and Dad got a hot tea. We sipped on our drinks and chatted about the upcoming fun to come.

Over the loudspeaker, I heard "Flight number 5826 to Los Angeles will now be boarding." Dan, Dad, and I hurried to the gate. Luckily, we were put into the first boarding group, so we were pretty much guaranteed to be able to sit with each other. The flight attendant scanned our boarding pass with a warm smile and we started walking through to the plane.

Once we got to the plane, Dan and Dad made sure I got into my seat and gave me the window seat. They said it may calm my nerves. We sat for a while, waiting for everyone else to board the plane. Twenty minutes later, we received a safety spiel from the flight attendants, and the plane was about to take off. I clung to Phil, scared more than ever for the impending flight. The plane accelerated, quicker and quicker until I was certain we were going to hit the sound barrier. All of the sudden my stomach dropped. I looked out of the window, and we had liftoff.

"Dad," I whispered.

"Yes Delilah?" he responded.

"I-its beautiful," I said. The view was breathtaking. I could see the entire city of London from quite literally a birds-eye view. A few minutes later we had broken through the clouds, and all I could see was white, fluffy clouds and breathtakingly blue sky.

An hour later I ran into the main complaint of any and every world traveler. Absolute boredom. Dad and Dan had fallen asleep and I was all alone in a metal tube full of strangers. Packed like sardines in a can being hurled through the sky at monumental speeds. I started looking through everything. I discovered that the seat had a screen built in which had a ton of movies. I decided on Tangled and watched that. I drifted off to sleep at some point during the movie.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we have arrived in sunny Los Angeles, California. It is a nice 85 degrees Fahrenheit, thats about 30 degrees Celsius for you Brits."

"Dad?" I groggily asked, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes. "Are we here?"

"Yes! Are you excited?"

"Of course!" I said, and we promptly headed for the hotel.
