We sat in Phil's car, driving to his and Dan's flat. I was really nervous. What if they didn't like me? I haven't been adopted before, I haven't even had a foster family. I've been in that orphanage for as long as I could remember. I was nervous that Dan wouldn't like me, but I was over the moon just to be adopted by Phil. Anyways I wondered what it was going to be like, living with two of the only people that kept me going through the hardest times in the orphange.

"You excited?" I heard Phil say, snapping me out of my thoughts.

'Yeah," I smiled. "I'm excited to finally have a family."

"So do you play any sports, play any instuments, dance....?' Phil asked.

"Not really. We didn't get out much. We were all homeschooled. I use the term loosely considering that it wasn't really a home. Well I sing a little, but not very much."

"Oh! Could you sing me something?" Phil said, sounding really sincerely interested.

" I guess so..." I told him, "What do you want to hear?"

        "Anything you want."

"Okay, well here is a song by one of my favorite bands, We The Kings"

When heaven seems so far away

And dreams are just a memory

Without the dark the light won't show

Remember that you're not alone

When you watch the world just turn away

And break the promises it made

When love is all too hard to hold

Just take a breath and let it go

Whoa whoa oh, whoa whoa oh, whoa whoa oh

Just keep breathing, breathing, breathing

Whoa whoa oh, whoa whoa oh, whoa whoa oh

Just keep breathing, breathing, breathing

2 A.M., too tired to sleep

When what you want's not what you need

And when these walls don't feel like home

Remember that you're not alone

The beginning's just another end

It's not too late to start again

When hope is all too hard to hold

Just take a breath and let it go

Whoa whoa oh, whoa whoa oh, whoa whoa oh

Just keep breathing, breathing, breathing

Whoa whoa oh, whoa whoa oh, whoa whoa oh

Just keep breathing, breathing, breathing

Ooh ooh...

When heaven seems so far away

And dreams are just a memory

When love is all too hard to hold

Just take a breath and let it...

Go whoa oh, whoa whoa oh, whoa whoa oh

Just keep breathing, breathing, breathing

Whoa whoa oh, whoa whoa oh, whoa whoa oh

Just keep breathing, breathing, breathing

I finished the song and heard clapping. Only then did I realize that we had arrived. I blushed profusely.

"Delilah! You are good. Really REALLY good."

        "Thanks!"

"Now how about we go up to your new home?!"
