Phil's POV
Wow...
Did that really just happen? HThe shock widened my eyes and I was certain my heart had stopped beating for a second. I couldn't think of any words. None.
'Dad'. The word rang in my ears like a bell. Of course, I was her legal guardian, we both new that, and that was fine. But for her to think as me as a father figure, and not just 'Phil', well that meant a lot.
Before I made the decision to adopt, I had many long, deep conversations with my own father. He taught me so much a child, more than any stupid school teacher ever did. So right there and then as soon as the words left Delilah's lips, I made myself a promise.
I promised I would always be there for Delilah, when she got knocked down I would pick her up. I would prepare to be hated, at least until she needed an extra £5. I would spoil her rotten and do whatever is best for her. Always.
One week later, and Delilah hadn't called me Dad since. I didn't care though, that was just us, Phil, Delilah and Dan.
The three of us were strolling the streets of London that Saturday afternoon. Delilah was bursting out of most of her clothes, and Dan and I were hopeless at shopping for girls, therefore I pretty much threw money at her and sent her off with my friend Louise to shop once we had finished our lunch at Nandos.
"Bye Phil!" Delilah called, turning around and waving her hand at me before her and Louise were deep in girly conversation. I smiled and waved back, before Dan and I wandered off in the opposite direction.
"Topman?" Dan asked me quizzically.
"Sure," I agreed. We chatted happily about anything and everything on the way there, conversation flowing effortlessly. That's one of the things I loved about Dan, we could talk so easily and could make each other laugh so quickly, our bond was always growing ever since we met, people often thought we were dating we were so close.
"Oh my god Phil!" Dan shrieked, sprinting over to a table of plaid shirt. I rolled my eyes. Dan adored my collection of plaid shirts. He darted around the table and grabbing a blue and black one and skipping back over to me.
"Here," he offered me the shirt. "The blue would bring out your eyes."
Honestly, that boy. I thanked him and took it out of his hands, before browsing the other clothes. "Wow wow wow, where do you think you're going?" Dan asked, spinning me around by the shoulder.
"Umm... to look at clothes?" I answered, confused.
"I don't think so. You're going to get that shirt on, right now. Go, go on!" He demanded, shoving me into the changing room.
The mirror reflected a tight-fitting, stylish checked shirt. Hm. I wasn't sure... maybe I should get Dan to have a look?
I poked my head out of the curtain, and sure enough, he was waiting with anticipation on the chair outside. "Ooh let me see!" He squealed, jumping up. I revealed the rest of my body, and he blinked in shock, taking a step back.
"Wow" Dan whispered, still blinking. "Mate, I hope you don't find this weird, but you look really fucking hot in that shirt." He bit his lip.
His tongue gently traced his top lip as he made eye contact with me. "Sorry," He blushed, turning away. God, he was so cute. Wait, what? Why did I say that? Dan's my best friend, almost my brother, that would be weird. Wrong, actually.
But... Just look at him. Look at his gorgeous, slightly curling fringe and his chocolate brown eyes that you could get lost in. His beautiful smile. No, not that sexy side smirk he does in photos, the real, genuine smile from ear to ear that lights up his whole face.
Phil what are you doing? Dan's just a stupid brown haired boy with stupid brown eyes... that I couldn't escape.
He coughed. Crap, I had just been staring at him for about 30 seconds without saying a word. Although, he was doing the same to me. Awkward. I chuckled and dragged the curtain of my changing room shut, hiding my face in my hands.
Yo it's Aine again😎Oooh a bit of Phan hm? Sorry I didn't tell you Reilly, you can't expect me to write about Dan and Phil without phan 😏 anyway hope you enjoyed! Please vote and comment 💕Baii ✌️
