Chapter 13

Yugi awoke to the first rays of the sun,he would slowly get out of bed and head to the kitchen...oddly he didn't see Atem around anywhere that morning so he thought that he was busy with something...after breakfast he headed back to his room,only when he got inside he noticed that something was missing..."Oh no..the pendant!" he said as he spotted that it was gone from his table,he looked everywhere for it only to go running around the place looking for Atem so he could ask him where it was..he then noticed that Atem was missing too..that's when he went outside and called out for him....
"Atem?!...Atem..where are you!?" ...he got no answer...he tried again and again,calling over and over...he fell to his knees,shaking in both fear,sadness and anger.."Why...why did he.." he asked himself..he would look around only to see someone in the distance,he squinted to get a better look at them.....it was Atem..Yugi got up and ran over to him,only to be stopped suddenly by his own legs once he got close enough..
"Atem.."
"Yugi...glad to see you up"
"What are you doing..what's with that pack?"
"I am..going somewhere"
"Oh...where?"
Atem went silent on the question,Yugi started to grow displeased by his silence after a while so he just kept asking for Atem to tell him where he was going..until..Yugi went to slap him,only for his wrist to be caught midair and pulled into Atems grasp...
"Enough...I know you are upset with me for not saying where I am going but..you need not know that"
"You also took that pendant from me"
"I know..and I do apologize..but I had to"
"You had to..why?.."
"Yugi..-" once again,Atem went silent..
"Tell me.." Yugi insisted
Atem sighed "I want to get out of here...to leave this place behind that's why I took it"
"I know you do..I do too..but stealing won't get you anywhere..we're a team in this,so please let me help you" ..hearing Yugis plea made Atem look away slightly only for him to feel Yugi put his hand on his face softly,forcing him to look at him,his eyes filled with sadness...he sighed and gave a small smile "Such sad eyes you have..Partner" Atem said in a slight whisper...

A few hours later...the two had hiked all the way to a an old witch shack..it looked like it hasn't been lived in for years..one of the windows was broken,the door could only stay shut if it was locked..the shack itself was slightly slanted...still,the two went inside,Atem looked on the shelves for something...Yugi looked around the shack,being unfamiliar with the place unlike Atem was..
"Ah..here it is" Atem said pulling an old book down from one of the shelves..he dusted it off and opened it..Yugi went over and tilted his head "What's a book gonna do for us?" he questioned..Atem smiled as he looked for the right page "Oh this book can do all kinds of things if you have the right things" he said,a bit of a growl in his tone...once he found the page he was looking for,he got the pendant out and held it out to Yugi...
Unsure of taking it,he hesitated..
"Go on.." Atem said in a soft tone
"Alright.." Yugi said,placing his hand on the pendant...
"Now..close your eyes..." Atem said in a whisper...Yugi nodded and did as told...he would then hear Atem start saying something in chant like tone,he wondered what it was he was saying but he couldn't make it out since it was in another language......
A slight surprised scream was heard suddenly...

"Y-you...you're out!...but how?!"
Atem looked around and smiled to himself "Yugi..you can open your eyes"..as Yugi opened his eyes,he saw Ishizu standing before him..he blinked a few times wondering if he was dreaming...
"I...think I know how you got out...but to be sure...did you happen to use a forbidden spell?"
"Yes..something like that Miss.."
"I see..mind telling me the name of it?"
"It was the 'Kage no fukkatsu' spell"
"Ah..so that's the one that you used,I have been trying to help both of you out for a while now..it seems that I no longer have to help you"
Yugi blinked and tilted his head in confusion,only for Atem to speak up once again "Hold on..there is something I do need"...Ishizu smiled and nodded "Whatever you need,I shall do my best to provide it" ..Atem smiled and whispered something to her so Yugi wouldn't hear it..
"One of those spells?...I might have just the thing" Ishizu said as she looked through her book.Yugi would then pocket the pendant after realizing and taking it from Atem...soon enough Ishizu showed a rather odd but particulare spell to Atem causing him to smile once again "This will do" he said..."Then I shall leave you be" Ishizu said,bowing and leaving the room with her brother,who was already on his way out...Atem then turned and took Yugi by his hands softly and started to speak aloud..
"ya zalam asmaeani!

'atamanaa 'an yakun sharikiun maeia 'iilaa al'abad!

lihukm alealam maeah raghbatay alwahidat!

asmaeni wamnahni ma 'atamanaa!

ya zalam asmaeani!"
Hearing the words,Yugi blinked as he tried to self translate,only..he started to feel off..almost weak kneed...suddenly the magic from the pendant surrounded them and started to somehow get inside their heads...once everything was done,they both felt a slight chill down their backs...
"What..just happened?" Yugi asked suddenly
"Oh..nothing" Atem said,hiding the truth and keeping it to himself...after a few hours of talking with the Ishtars and telling them what happened,the two set out on their way,heading to the Kame Game where Yugi lived with his grandpa...the rest of the day was spend there as Atem got used to being outside the glass box that was the mirror world of Nexus..

Later that night,the two didn't sleep much..they mostly stayed awake making plans...Atem smiled to himself because one of his wishes came true..he would just sit there and listen to Yugi talk about Domino and what it has to offer as they made plans..he would even talk about his favorite game of Duel monsters...however..once they did go to bed,Atem couldn't help but hold Yugi close as he laid there besides him,quietly breathing as he slept...
"Soon Yugi...soon...your home will be my home as well" Atem said in a soft and quiet whisper before he drifted off to sleep.

Another chapter done!..seems like they're out,but Atem is up to something..I wonder what that could be...that spell he casted seems fishy to me...let's see what happens next chapter!
