EMMA
He led me to a restaurant in Storybrooke that I didn't even know existed. It was formal and there was a piano playing somewhere.
"How did I not know about this?" I looked all around, admiring the architecture of the place.
"I found it one day and knew it was the perfect place to take my perfect lady." He kissed my forehead and I looked up at him.
"I hope you don't mind that I made reservations in my name." I didn't know what he meant until he walked to the front.
"Jones for 2." Jones. I smiled and blushed. It sounded perfect.
"I think it sounds nice." I bit my lip in a smile as he pulled my chair out for me, and pushed it in.
"Thank you, Captain." The waiter handed us menus and then walked away.
"I'm not that hungry, do you want to split something?" I was hungry, but I just wanted to share something with him.
"That's sounds wonderful." Our legs touched under the table. I grinned as we tangled our legs together.
"I don't know if I can make the transition from Granny's to this. Wow, it's amazing." I looked at the appetizers.
"What do you want for an appetizer?" I looked up at him.
"You can pick. I can't decide, everything looks good." I was hoping for the Tomato Bruschetta. It looked so good, but so did everything else. I wouldn't care what he picked. The waiter came back to our table with his pad of paper.
"Can I interest you in our assortment of wines or other alcohol?" Killian took one last glance at the menu and set it down.
"Two glasses of Chardonnay please." My favorite. "And we would like to start out with the Tomato Bruschetta." My other favorite. The waiter wrote everything down and looked up.
"I will put that order in and come back to take your entree orders." He smiled and walked away. Killian saw me smiling.
"Chardonnay is my favorite and I was leaning towards the Bruschetta. You know me so well. Or we just have the same taste." My hand was on top of his on the table.
"Do you like fish?" I nodded. He smiled, more than he already was.
"Can I interest you in the Wild Caught Salmon entree?" He was imitating the waiter and I laughed.
"I am very interested." I was looking into his perfect ocean colored eyes. He was looking into mine. If I could just freeze that moment and stay there forever, I would've. But unfortunately for us, there are waiters in this world.
"Have you decided on your entree yet?" He snapped us out of our stares. I looked up at him and gave him a friendly smile.
"We like to share the Wild Caught Salmon please." He uncorked the wine and poured us both glasses.
"Oh, one of my favorites. Great choice." He wrote it down, then left.
"If me staying with you is ever an inconvenience, please tell me instead of getting mad at me." I really didn't want him to just withhold his annoyance with me if he ever had any. He raised his eyebrows.
"Emma, I want to be with you every minute of every day. When you asked to stay with me, my heart skipped. I would never want you to leave." I looked down and smiled, trying not to cry of happiness.
"I do have to stay with the Charming's when Henry is with me, but that still gives us more time. I'm sure David will come around someday. How could anyone ever NOT like you?" Our hands were still interlocked when the Bruschetta was brought to our table. It looked amazing, but it smelled even more amazing. The artisan bread was plated perfectly beside it and a snip of parsley laid in the middle of the dip.
"Ladies first." Killian nodded to the dip.
"Or we could both go at the same time." He smiled and grabbed a piece of bread. We dipped it at the same time and I got excited to put it in my mouth. My excitement was well placed. It was one of the most amazing things I had ever tasted. I closed my eyes and savorered it.
"That is so good. It makes Granny's taste like a school room cafeteria." After I said that, I laughed because Killian didn't understand half of my references.
"I'm sorry, Swan. I wish I could get your references." He genuinely looked sorry.
"Oh, Killian! It's funny! I don't care! I think that your limited exposure to this world is probably a good thing! I think it is adorable." I took another bite of heaven.
"I wish I could eat this forever." Killian nodded in reply. After a few minutes of silence from eating the appetizer, the salmon was brought out. It was plated perfectly and smelled so delicious. I wondered if it would beat the dip.
"The Wild Caught Salmon. Is there anything at all I could get you?" Killian and I looked at each other and shook our heads. "Well then, I hope you enjoy." He smiled and walked away. I grabbed my fork, and Killian grabbed his.
"Same time?" He asked. I nodded and we both brought our forks down on the work of art.
"I feel bad ruining this plateing. It looks so perfect." It was way better than I could ever do.
"I know. In the enchanted forest, you were lucky if you could even get a plate." I scrunched my nose.
"Really?" He nodded, showing he was serious. That's gross. We both brought our forks of salmon to our mouths at the same time, and then tasted it. It melted in my mouth with all of the flavors.
"Mmmhhhhmmmm. This is perhaps better than the Bruschetta." Killian put his fork down for another bite. I liked hearing him make sounds of pleasure. Even if it was with food... Instead of me. I laughed.
"What, Swan?" He smiled at me quizzically.
"Nothing, I was just thinking." I grinned at him, he was oblivious to my embarrassing thoughts. I was glad people couldn't read minds with magic, but it probably didn't take a psychic to tell that we both wanted night time to come.
By the time that the salmon was almost gone, I had told Killian of my many embarrassing stories. I don't know why, I just felt like he was someone I could trust with all of my heart, which would turn out terribly if I was wrong. The waiter brought over the bill and smiled once again. I imitated his fake smile when he turned around and Killian laughed.
"Swan, I don't even know if you are trying to make me laugh. You still accomplish the task though." When he looked at me his stare was unreadable. It was serious though. I got a confused look on my face. I couldn't place his thoughts. Then, he got off his chair and down on one knee in front of me.
