EMMA

Hook knew where to meet me. It was like our spot. I don't know why, there wasn't anything special there. It was in the middle of the woods, by the edge of Storybrooke. We had been taking a hike one day and came across a cute little picnic table. It was half decayed, and it didn't have paint. We liked that little table though. We sat at it all day seeing if it was a well traveled area. Once the end of the day came, and not one single person had been in a mile radius of the picnic table, it was our private spot. We didn't do anything dirty there, like the beach. We just talked, and sometimes we used our mouths for other things. That wasn't my definition of dirty though. The picnic table was about a 20 minute walk from the loft. I headed towards the hill that looked over Storybrooke.

HOOK

I stopped at Moe's flower shop to get some roses for Emma. It wasn't a special occasion or anything, but she deserved roses all the time. I picked up one red rose and it was wrapped in clear plastic wrap. On my way to the mountain, Will Scarlet ran into me, literally. He was running away from someone, probably someone he pickpocketed, and he wasn't looking where he was going and he ran into me. The rose fell on the ground and got crushed. I swore.

"You blasted creature!" I shouted at Will. He looked at me, smiled, and proceeded to run away. I crouched down to pick up the rose and one second later Grumpy came running around the corner.

"Aha! I knew you were in on it! I'm calling Emma right now! Hopefully she see's that you haven't changed a bit." Grumpy pulled out his cell phone and started to dial Emma's number.

"Grumpy, I was just at Moe's buying flowers for her. We are going to meet and Will ran into me when he came around the corner. That is why this is all smushed." I gestured to the smushed and withered flower in my hand. Grumpy looked at the flower and at me and he slowly put his phone away.

"I'll let you away on this one today. One more time I catch you doing something fishy, your going straight behind bars. I'll call David next." Grumpy took off running after Will again. I thought he was going to call David. It really scared me for a minute. David wouldn't listen to anything I would have to say. He would just lock me up and tell Emma that she could never see me again. I, again, started walking towards to over look, thinking of ways I could make people like me. I was never good at that, making people like me. I don't know how Emma likes me. It was a definite miracle. A miracle I was going to hold on to forever. I did work at the police station with Emma sometimes. I was mostly a secretary. I followed Emma around and did her errands. It didn't bother me. Any moment I got to spend with Emma was a happy one. I spotted Belle reading a book on the bench outside of the pawn shop. I tried to avoid her, our past was definitely not the greatest. Now that the crocodile was gone, it was very awkward. She usually was a ghost, no one ever saw her. People hated her almost as much as they hated me. She did nothing to deserve it. Just because she fell in love with the wrong guy people would throw things at her and shout at her. That is why she was rarely seen. She was so sweet, I didn't see how anyone could hate her. I never hated anyone that didn't have a reason to be hated. I know how it feels to be hated, and it isn't good. I haven't spoken to Belle since, I don't actually remember. It would've been to odd for me to thank her for saving my life. She banished Rumplestiltskin and everything, because he was being evil. Particularly trying to crush my heart, but details don't matter. Belle looked up from her book as I walked past.

"Hi Killian." She never talked to me except for right then. The universe was telling me not to be on time for the beautiful day I got to spend with Emma.

"Hi." I really wanted to get on with walking without seeming like I hated her.

"You don't hate me do you? The rest of the town seems to." She said.

"No, I have no reason to hate you. On the other hand, you have every reason to hate me. I never got to thank you for... saving my life." She shrugged.

"It's in the past now. Where are you headed with that dreary flower? Hopefully you're not planning on giving that to Emma. She doesn't hate me, and she deserves more than that." She was staring at the shredded flower in my hand. I brushed my hand over my hair.

"Will Scarlet ran into me and I dropped it. I didn't have time or money to get a new one." I felt embarassed that I didn't have money, but I didn't want Emma to pay me for being her assistant.

"Well, let me see if there is something in the shop that will replace that ugly thing." She stood up and walked into the shop before I could protest. I tossed the flower into a nearby trash can. She came out carrying a bundle of flowers that were bright white.

"I just bought these yesterday, but I'm not in the mood for white. It doesn't go with anything in the shop. Here, have them, free of charge." She handed me three white roses. I only took one.

"Wow, thank you. It's kind of my style to only do one rose, so you can keep the others. I don't know how I can repay you. I owe you twice now. I'd better get going before Emma gets suspicious. Thank you so much Belle." I walked away carrying a new white rose that sparkled a bit brighter than the red one. Proving my point once again, no one should hate Belle.

I sat at the bench waiting for Killian. He was always punctual. It was almost the top of the hour, and he wasn't in sight. I started to worry that something had happened to him. I stood up and turned around, running into him. At first, he about gave me a heart attack.

"What the hell! Can't you acknowledge that you are right behind me? I'm going to die before we get a chance to spend the day together. Then David will kill you and we can spend the day in heaven together." I was breathing heavy, trying to slow down my heart.

"You have no evidence that I am going to heaven, Swan." He pulled a single white rose out from behind his back.

"For you, a swan white rose." He bowed and I took it. I kissed him when he straightened back up. I laid the blanket that I had brought on the table to cover up the damp, mossy wood.

"Swan, do you just carry around blankets everywhere?" He sat down and I sat in his lap.
"Maybe." It appeared that today wasn't going to be one of the talking days.

HOOK
Emma sat on top of me as we kissed. I could feel the love in her lips. I never noticed how good she looked in her shirt. My mind flashed back to when we traveled back in time to the enchanted forest. We attended the ball and she wore the most beautiful red dress I've ever seen. The color red looked great on her. Any color looked great on Emma. I couldn't wait until tonight. Hopefully the wretched Princed Charming will let her stay out for the night. Thinking of Emma gave me chills and I shivered.
"Are you cold?" Emma stopped kissing to ask me.
"Not a bit, love." I replied. She continued to kiss me. Her legs were straddling my torso and my knees were against her back, holding her on the table. Frankly, I was quite concerned that the table was going to break. It was very old and rickity.
"Too bad we can't go any further than kissing here. There are some random hikers who come up here sometimes." Emma had her hands on my jawbone, her warm, smooth, comforting hands. I traced her spine with my hand, my other... arm was wrapped around her waist. I was wearing my fake hand instead of my hook. She ran her hand up the back of my head, once again giving me chills. She stopped kissing me and and put a finger on my lips.
"Cliffhanger. Let's go get something to eat and savor this moment until tonight. David's baking with Snow, he won't catch us. Regina is happy to have Henry for one more night and Henry is understanding. Regina really needs Henry in her life right now." Emma climbed off of me and I sat up straight.
"I wish we never had to stop. I understand though, the appreciating it more when we have to wait. Although I appreciate it a lot right now anyways." I watched her straighten her clothes out and handed her the rose that was on the table.
"Thank you sailor." She smirked at me and grabbed my hand, dragging me down the hill to Granny's. I was starving, but I wouldn't eat that much. Etiquette, I had to remember.
