Lots of fluff for the start!!
"Mama!" yelled my 6-year-old daughter which woke me up.
"What is it El?" I asked her as she walked over to my bed.
"I ha' a nightmare, Mama. You and Mommy died." She cried.
"Oh come here, baby, nobody is going to die okay! You're stuck with us forever." I told her trying to calm my crying baby girl. I pulled her in for a hug whispering sweet things to her and kissing her head. "you're okay my baby. I've got you." she had calmed down and now noticed the absence of Polly.
"Mama, where' Mommy?" she asked.
"She's having a sleepover with Aunty Ada, baby" I replied. I was not lying to her, but our girl did not know we were both fighting which is why she's not here.
"When 'ill she be back?" she asked. The perks of having a curious and stubborn child. Just like her Mommy.
"Very soon my love, very soon" I whispered kissing her forehead in the process. "If you go to sleep now I'll take you to visit Aunty Ada tomorrow." I proposed to her. Her smile lit up her face.
"Yes pwease, Mama!" she squealed.
"Okay, okay! let's go to sleep!" she quickly laid down on the bed snuggling into me and closing her eyes. "You're just like your Mommy darling" I whispered to the girl already asleep and fell into slumber myself.
The next morning
I was awoken by a small voice calling me "Mama... mama... wake up mama!" I pretended to stay asleep to see what she would do. She was mumbling away to herself, I cracked my eye open slightly to see what she was doing I saw she had her back to me, deciding to grab her waist and pull her into me. I tickled her and blew raspberries on her stomach. "M-mAma s-toooop!" she whined
"What's the magic word princess?" I teased
"P-pweaseeee!" she complained. And I pulled my hands away
"Good morning princess!" I chirped.
"g'morning mama," she mumbled folding her arms over her chest. Trying to keep a straight face.
"Where did your pretty smile go baby? Do I have to tickle you again?" I lifted my hands again slowly inching them towards her again.
"No Mama!" she giggled "Here my smile. See" she pointed at her mouth with a cheeky grin.
"Very beautiful El!" I complimented "Now let's get ready to visit Aunty Ada and Mommy!"
"Yay!" she exclaimed and jumped from the bed.
I got us both ready, bathing us both and putting a dress on Eleanor and slacks and top for myself. I braided the top half of her hair and left the rest out. I left my hair out just brushing it, grabbed both coats and left. After a short drive, we were at Ada's front door. I walked up to the door holding Eleanor's hand and knocked. Ada answered the door and had a huge smile on her face when she saw us.
