I haven't written a Polly oneshot in a while, but I was going through some drafts and found this. So enjoy :)

You woke up earlier than Polly did today, it was unusual as she was usually the one to wake you by softly playing with your hair. Your bodies were still entangled, and you could feel the heat radiating from Polly's body. You looked over at the clock on the small table next to your bed. There were forty minutes until you had to be at work, so you knew you had to wake sleeping, Pol. At the very least to see if she wanted to go to work today. Gently, you moved the hair from her face and admired how the morning sun that was streaming through the window made her face glow. You also noticed a hit of redness on her cheeks. You wondered if she was feeling unwell and decided to ask her if she wanted to stay home and rest. As you waited for her to wake up, you planned to make her a cup of tea and prepare some breakfast for the both of you.

"Darling," you murmured softly while you placed a kiss on her forehead. "I know we hate mornings, but we need to let Tommy know if we're coming to work," you whispered while placing a kiss on her nose, making her face scrunch up slightly, showing she was awake. You placed a kiss on her lips, and she reciprocated. "Good morning, darling," you whispered against her lips. You could feel her soft smile.

"Mornin' sweets," she husked, pulling you back to her. You both lay there for a few moments, basking in the warmth of each other's embrace.

"Are you okay, love?" You asked, noticing a hint of sickness in her voice and the temperature of her body.

"I'm fine," she said with a smile. However, you knew she wasn't. You decided to take her temperature to confirm your suspicion and it turned out she had a fever.

You insisted that she rest and take some medicine, promising to take care of her until she felt better.

"We can have one day off, you know?" You offered, but she continued to disagree with you.

"Y/N, I told you I'm fine; now let's go," she said, getting out of bed and going into the bathroom to get ready. You huffed

As Polly got ready, you couldn't help but worry about her. You knew that she was tough and always put on a brave face, but you also knew that she was vulnerable and needed someone to take care of her sometimes. You made a mental note to keep an eye on her throughout the day and make sure she was okay.

Once Polly was ready, the two of you headed to work. On the way, you kept stealing glances at her, trying to gauge her mood and see if she was really okay. She noticed and gave you a small smile, reassuring you that she was fine.

When you arrived at work, Tommy immediately called you both into his office. As you sat down, you noticed that Polly's face had gone pale. Tommy began discussing the details of the job and what he needed from both of you. You could tell that Polly was struggling to keep up with the conversation.

"Tommy, Pol isn't feeling well. I think she needs to go home and rest," you said, interrupting him.

Tommy looked at Polly, concern etched on his face. "Are you okay, Pol?" he asked.

Polly nodded weakly, but you could tell that she was in no shape to work. You stood up and took her hand. "Come on, love. Let's get you home," you said, guiding her out of the office.

Once you were outside, you helped Polly to the car. She leaned against you, her body trembling slightly. You could feel the heat radiating off her from her fever, and you drove as fast as you could to get her home.

"Thank you for taking care of me, Y/N/N," she whispered, her voice barely audible.

"Always, my love," you replied, holding her close. "I'll take care of you always. But please, for the love of god, Pol. Stop being so stubborn when you clearly know you are sick," you said, mockingly annoyed.

Polly chuckled weakly, "I'll try my best, but you know how I hate being cooped up in bed." She snuggled closer to you, feeling grateful for your love and care.

"How bad can a day of cuddles from me be?" you asked in a half jokingly tone. You knew she loved the cuddles from you, she just loved to be doing things and hated wasting a day. She smiled and rested her head on your chest, feeling content in the moment.

"I guess it wouldn't be so bad," she replied, realizing that sometimes a lazy day with you was exactly what she needed every now and then. Especially when she was sick.

You smiled to yourself, feeling relieved that Polly was finally listening to you and agreeing to rest. As you pulled into the driveway, you helped her out of the car and into the house. You made her some tea and soup and settled her down on the couch, covering her with a blanket.

You spent the day taking care of Polly, making sure she was comfortable and had everything she needed. You watched movies, played board games, and cuddled, making the most of the time you had together. As the day wore on, you noticed that Polly was starting to feel better. Her fever had gone down, and she seemed to have more energy. You smiled, feeling happy that your care and attention had helped her recover.

As the night drew in, you settled down on the couch, cuddling each other as you watched a movie. You looked over at Polly, noticing how beautiful she looked, even when she was sick. You realised how lucky you were to have her in your life and promised yourself to always take care of her, no matter what.

As the credits rolled on the movie, Polly looked up at you with a soft smile. "Thank you, Y/N. I don't know what I would do without you," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

"You don't have to worry about that, my love. I'll always be here for you," you replied, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead.

You both settled down for the night, cuddled up in bed, feeling grateful for each other's love and support. As you drifted off to sleep, you knew that no matter what the future held, you and Polly would face it together, always taking care of each other.
