A cold wave of despair washed over Jungkook, pulling him down as he collapsed onto the floor, the chill of the tiles seeping into his bones. Whispering to the empty space around him, he choked out,
"I'm sorry. Please come back!" The tears began to stream down his face without restraint, each drop a mixture of regret and longing, spiraling into an overwhelming tide of emotion that left him gasping for breath.
Jungkook's imaginations of what could have been played out in his mind, swirling with images of shared laughter, warm embraces, and whispered secrets that now felt irretrievably lost.
In a sudden, raw burst of emotion, Jin reached out, wrapping his arms around Jungkook's figure from the side, his touch was gentle yet firm, a silent plea for understanding and reconciliation, a wish that somehow they could bridge the chasm that had formed between them.
Jungkook's hands trembled against Jin’s touch, caught in a tumultuous battle between the urge to stay put and the overpowering confusion that plagued his heart. They stood there, enveloped in a moment that felt as though it had stretched into eternity, as time itself seemed to hold its breath.
" I apologize, Hyung. I truly apologize" Jungkook finally whispered, his voice barely louder than a breath.
"It's alright, Jungkookie. Everything will be okay. Now let’s head inside," Jin reassured him softly, even though fear gnawed at his insides.
The two of them slowly walked into the house, the door closing behind them as they took tentative steps towards healing, the lingering emotion of the moment still hanging in the air.
Jin managed to comfort Jungkook in his time of distress. He gently led him to his room, guiding him through a series of calming words as they walked.
Once inside, he instructed Jungkook to sit down on the sofa, allowing him to settle in a safe space. After providing him with a glass of water, Jin encouraged him to take deep breaths, inhaling slowly through his nose and exhaling through his mouth.
He emphasized the importance of sharing everything that had transpired between them at a comfortable pace, assuring Jungkook that he was there to listen.
Taking a moment to gather his thoughts, Jungkook began to recount all that had happened, his voice trembling slightly as he spoke.
"Knowing Namjoon, he won't easily accept your love until you make him truly feel it. He is still haunted by memories of Jackson, and it's affecting how he perceives love. You need to introduce him to a new reality, your world of love—a world that can help him heal and feel safe again. He needs to be reshaped into someone who believes in love again, and that responsibility lies somewhat with you," Jin explained, his eyes filled with understanding.
Jungkook looked at Jin with a mix of confusion and desperation.
"But how, Jin Hyung? I have no idea how to help him feel my love. I don’t know where to start or what he might respond to."
Jin's expression softened as he tried to convey reassurance.
"Listen, Jungkook. Just do something that Namjoon enjoys. Think of activities that you know will capture his interest—something that he will find joy in. You have to demonstrate your love for him in tangible ways. Show him how much you care, that you are willing to go out of your way to make him happy and, most importantly, to make him trust you again. Your efforts will speak volumes."
