25. Epologue

Sonic's P.O.V.

Once it was just my family and Marina, Pretzel Mom was done with what she could do for me. "There the rest will heal on its own. However, it's going to be a long road to recovery. But it will go by faster if you get plenty of rest." Pretzel Mom explained as she put her medical supplies away. "Thank-thanks Pretzel Mom. You're a legend." I said with relief. The pain was still there but not as unbearable now. "Now to get you to your bed so you can rest properly." Pretzel Mom said as she carefully picked me up. I immediately clung onto her and Leaned my head against her shoulder. "Hey guys, Marina has a mobian form now. It's so beautiful." I said right before Pretzel Mom started climbing the stairs.

Now it was a few hours later. But haven't been able to fall asleep yet. I then forced my eyes to close and finally dosed off. However, not long after I did,  I saw Zeilo and his soulless surrounding me. I then saw Big Sonic's memories of his parents deaths! It was so horrible that I shot up awake. But that was a mistake because all the pain from what Zeilo did to me hit me all at once and screamed out from the pain at the top of my lungs.

Silver's P.O.V.

When I heard Sonic screaming, I flew to our room as fast as I could. When I got in there, I saw that he was terrified and in pain. Then I ran over to him. "Hey big bro, what's wrong?" I asked carefully. "No get away from me Zeilo!!! how did you get here?!!" Sonic screamed as he backed away, or as close to doing that as he could, when in his bed and with a very sore body. This scared me too. Seeing that his nightmare effected him like this. I realized that this really was a very long road to recovery! Zeilo added more baggage to his trauma! "Whoa calm down Sonic, it's me Silver, your little brother. Zeilo isn't here and he never will be." I said hastily and pulled him into a hug, gently as to not set off his sore body into more pain. "Oh, I'm so sorry Silver! It's just....my nightmare....was really bad! I saw the horrible things that Zeilo did to big Sonic." Sonic explained as he sobbed. "It's okay Sonic I know nightmares can leave that effect on someone. You will recover from this! And we'll help you every step of the way." I said as I continued to hug him and allowing him to let it all out. Several minutes later, he fell limp in my embrace. He cried himself to sleep. Even though I knew that meant he'd sleep more peacefully now, it still hurt to know that he sobbed like that. Then I tucked him back in. "Don't worry Sonic we got you." I said quietly as I left the room.

Normal P.O.V.

It took a over a month but Sonic recovered from his injuries and night terrors and Barrel delivered a message that shock had her powers taken away. Life was finally back to normal!

Or so they thought.
