"Guess who is the most creative writer in the room?" Pearl asked with an enthusiastic smile.
"Mystery and Thriller ones," Amé replied while sipping down her coffee.
"Yes, Thank you! That's me!" Pearl said with the same bright energy but this time looking straight in front of Amé, warning her to not make another snarky response on her words, which Amé clearly ignored in her next response.
"Since when you are writing in those genres, bestie?"
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" Pearl said in a low pitched tone and slowly pulled a bit of Amé's hair, only that much, that will make her feel annoyed but won't cause her any pain.
"I am not taking anything back." Amé began to scroll through her poem, ignoring Pearl's attempt on annoying her.
"T.a.l.k t.o m.e" Pearl mouths those words to Amé.
"Will see you in the coffee show, after your afternoon classes then. I need to finish this sketch at this moment." Amé said.
"Am, you should have told me that sooner. Go do your work, Shoo." Pearl said in a bit of regret but she knows Amé enough to know that the sketch must be due in a few hours for her to stop procrastinating and work on it, like this is her topmost priority.
"See you later in our handout," Pearl stroked Amé and told her to hang on, her work.
"Hey, Uhm" Amé called Pearl out before she could leave the room, but like every other time, her words were having a hard time coming out of her throat.
"Yes?" Pearl said in a really low voice, getting a chuckle from Amé.
"Uhm, nothing. See you later." Amé laughed awkwardly.
Amé closed her eyes, took a deep breath and stopped Pearl again, "The poem you wrote was really fascinating."
"The one I wrote for you?" Pearl asked Amé, even though she clearly knew that, Amé was talking about that poem.
Amé looked at Pearl in disbelief while she just laughed at Amé's expression.
"Do your sketch," Pearl reminded her about the sketch while walking out of the room with a bright smile on her face.
