-"She had this look on her face that made you wonder how many people she's killed. And this grin that made you realize that she's probably lost count."-

It was spine-chilling how she walked steadily and calmy to the underground garage.

Her fists were bloody and bruised. Her jaw aching from clenching it so hard. But she didn't seem to mind as she dragged Bianca to her Porsche by her hair.

Bianca wailed and struggled behind her, clutching onto Midnight's hand to try to loosen her grip. Without so much as a blink, Midnight pulled Bianca up forcefully and slammed her head against the concrete, making her go unconscious as blood pooled on the floor.

Pulling her limp body up, Midnight put her in the trunk of the car and slammed it shut. Going around to the driver's seat, Midnight started the engine and didn't waste a second to speed off. She gripped the steering wheel in a bloody hold as she took an offroad route to wherever she was going.

The anger seemed to multiply.

Luca was stable. Asleep and sedated to let his body rest. Midnight had called Dr. Salib, Matteo, and Antonio to watch him as she took care of what needed to be done with Bianca. Dr. Diaz and the nurses left right before Dr. Salib and the two men came in.

She called Antonio and Matteo to protect him. She called Dr. Salib to watch him. They had questions but they got answered when Midnight dragged Bianca out with a syringe falling out of her pocket.

Even now, as Midnight drove aimlessly, she still could remember the look on their faces when she yanked Bianca up by her hair and dragged her out as she screamed.

She drove for about an hour, away from the city and away from any civilization at all. She drove until she reached a titanium gate that outstretched for miles across. It was a wall of sorts.

She drove to the gate, entering the passcode and giving a retina and fingerprint scan. Then it asked for a verbal code.

"Vivus," she muttered into the system.

(Living)

Suddenly the metal gates slowly slid open just enough so her car could pass. Then they closed right behind her. Driving ten more minutes over hills and grassy fields, she finally reached a medium-sized farmhouse. Trees, orchards, and more hills reached around it, giving it a serene and peaceful aura.

It didn't look like much from the outside and that was how she liked it.

Living in New York, she was constantly surrounded by the glamourous lifestyle. It was Extravagant, seductive, and thrilling. It was too much at times. But when she lived in Sweden...there was never enough of anything. No glamour. It was all chipped paint and collapsing roofs. Two-bedroom homes that housed six people at a time.

So this generous-sized farmhouse with no chandeliers and no chipped paint was a healthy, perfect medium. It could fit a family of six comfortably.

It was secluded and peaceful. It was home.

Getting out of the car, she went around to the trunk and opened it. Bianca was awake and whimpering. Midnight smirked, throwing her out of the car and walking up the steps of the house. Bianca screamed for help as Midnight dragged her around the porch and to the back of the house.

Midnight hummed to herself as she dragged her into the trees beyond the house, deep into the orchard of apple and peach trees. Suddenly she stopped once she had walked for a few minutes. Pushing Bianca against the tree, she got the rope that had been previously tied around a branch.
