Eventually the van stopped and Ian was lead out to an ancient rundown building that appeared to be located in one of the poorer areas of London. He was brought through a series of decaying corridors to a large room consisting of several chairs and an old projector hooked up to a screen. Ian was sat down in one of the chairs while Neave and Peter walked over to the projector and switched it on.
"Are you sitting comfortably mr Clarkson?" Neave smiled slyly "Then we'll begin"
The first slide depicted a collage of L.S.E.I. imagery such as anti W.E.R. slogans and left wing political images.
"The L.S.E.I. is committed to the dismantling and abolishment of the abomination of a state known as the W.E.R." Neave explained "As such, it's completely illegal to be a member in any territory in the W.E.R., thus we have to resort to more clandestine methods to recruit new members"
Peter then pressed a button on the projector and the slide changed to an image of two W.E.R police officers apprehending a man holding a sign that read "White nationalism is not the way forwards"
Neave spoke again"To ensure that we've picked out the right people for our ranks, we have them all go through a couple of initiation rituals to check that they've got the right stuff"
She then looked at Ian"So far, you've passed the tests we've set you with flying colours. There's just one more assignment we have for you and you'll be a fully fledged member of the L.S.E.I."
Peter pressed the button on the projector a second time and the slide changed to an image of a man leaving a building. A man that Ian knew all too well. Noticing the look on Ian's face, Neave spoke"Yes Ian. That's Donald Thompson, one of the brightest talents in the GBBC. We want you to kill him"
Ian felt extremely scared"Why me?" he asked
"Because you know Donald well. He's someone you've spent a lot of time with and if you're able to muster the strength to kill him, you'll have proven to us that you're a perfect candidate for the L.S.E.I."
Ian thought it over for several seconds
"What's the risk of me being caught?"
"Every activity you do for us runs the risk of being caught" Neave explained "If it didn't, then none of our actions against the W.E.R. would mean anything. Now are you in or not?"Ian contemplated the whole ordeal. On one hand, murdering somebody of Donald's stature in cold blood would definitely put him high up on the W.E.R.'s shitlist. But on the other hand, Donald was a smug fuck completely up the W.E.R.'s arsehole and Ian utterly despised both him and the state he constantly sucked up to. Killing Donald would be a massive middle finger to both Donald himself and the state he constantly supported
"Fine" Ian nodded "I'll splatter his brains all across his living room floor"
Immediately after agreeing to this, Ian was taken to another part of the warehouse by Neave and Peter and shown the weapon he'd be using. It was a crude black pistol with a laser sight attached to the top. As Ian examined the gun, Peter spoke
"There's a button on the side that primes the gun and also activates the laser sight which should make sure you don't miss"
Ian grinned "Believe me, I don't intend to"
"As soon as you've wiped out Donald, head to the safehouse on Jack Renshaw street." Neave explained "It's an old grey building right in the centre on the left side of the street. Head around the back and knock three times on the white door with the light above it. When you do, you'll be told "I hear the cherries are ripe in Kent this year" You are to reply with "But the oranges in Derbyshire have come up short"Ian nodded "I'll do just that."
"And whatever you do, don't screw this one up" Neave added "You're already on thin ice with the W.E.R. as it is"Ian swallowed nervously "Right then. Wish me luck I guess"
