Kristie was laying in the back seat of the car that was taking her farther away from her mare. Kristie eyes were beet red from all the crying she had been doing. She tried to read but that just reminded her about Stardust, who would not be apart of her life before. Kristie's mother and father tried to distract her by having conversations, but quickly gave up when they realized she would not talk. They also ignored her crying hoping she would soon forget Stardust.
Meanwhile back at the farm Stardust was pacing back and forth. She had been turned out when she would not stop kicking her stall door, Rob who had a massive hangover yelled at her and put her in a paddock with Honeysuckle. Stardust kept calling out for Kristie, at first Honeysuckle tried to get Stardust to play with her until it was clear to the young mare that she did not want to play, so Honeysuckle setled down to graze. Stardust kept pacing and would only stop to get a drink of water when she could her throat was too sore and raw to call out anymore. After the drink she went back to pacing and whinneying. After a while Rob came out and took Stardust out of her paddock and led her into the ring. Rob took of his belt and held Stardust tightly in place, he then brought down the belt hard on her rump. Stardust kicked out from the harsh sting, Rob hit her again harder this time but on her quarters. This happened until Stardust stopped trying to get away from him.
There you damn fool. You are now under my control, you obey properly. Rob turned Stardust back out in the paddock. Honeysuckle came over to greet Stardust and then helped her lick her wounds. The red welts popped out from the stark white of her coat, the welts were starting to swell the skin around the open wounds and some were starting to bleed. This made Stardust miss Kristie more, her gentle touch, her never getting made no matter how long it took Stardust to learn something and her always having a treat to give to her. Sadly Kristie left her at this farm with the mean man who hit her. After awhile Rob came out of the house with a beer in hand and headed to a small paddock and grabbed Buckshot. A bit later Rob came out with Buckshot fully tacked up but with a Bowman bike chain half cheek bit instead of a snaffle. One of the harshest bits. When Buckshot started to dance, Rob yanked on the bit causing Buckshot to throw his had up in the air. Buckshot was used to a soft snaffle bit and riders with soft hands or hands that held the reins super loose. Rob led Buckshot over to the mounting block and tried to mount the excited gelding.
Damit stand still you stupid horse. Rob yanked the bit again and when Buckshot stopped dancing for a second, Rob took his chance and hopped on the gelding's back. He walked Buckshot out of the ring and spured him into a gallop without properly warming the roan gelding. After two hours Rob and Buckshot came back to the farm. Buckshot was drenched with sweat, had sores on his sides and was bleeding from the mouth. Rob led Buckshot into the barn and two minutes later came back out with Buckshot in tow. Still drenched with sweat a bleeding, Rob had done nothing but untack Buckshot after thier ride. Rob then went into the barely halter broken horse paddock and tried to catch one. Both horses ran away from Rob until there was steam coming out of his ears. Rob finally cornered the appaloosa gelding and shoved a halter onto his face, tightning it so much it was digging into the horse's face. He then led the gelding into the ring. The appaloosa gelding tried to get away from Rob but just got a sharp sting from the belt that split the skin. The gelding bucked out from the sting and Rob hit him again.
God damit horse. You will listen to me. I will now be training you so you'd better listen to me or you will get the whipping of your life. After a ''training session for young horses'' Rob came into Stardust's paddock and tried to grab Honeysuckle but Stardust, who did not wan the same thing that happened to her to happen to Honeysuckle, kicked Rob in the thigh before her could reach Honeysuckle. Rob tried to hit Stardust but she raced away from him before he could lay a finger on her. Rob limped away from the horses and up to the house. Rob did not come out for the rest of the night, not even to give horses some hay. Honeysuckle and Stardust were lucky because they were in a field paddock that was full of grass, but horses like Buckshot and the appy were ot so luck because they were in a paddock that ha no grass only dirt. The hay was not even close to the paddocks so the horses could not even stretch thier necks out to get mouth fulls. Stardust sized up the fence, it was 8 inches high, Stradust had jumped higher with Kristie at home and at compettions. Until now Stardust had no need nor idea to jump out of the paddock. Stradust cantered around t get warmed up and then headed to the fence.

Now! Stardust lifted off the ground and cleared the fence with room to spare. She cantered around to the hay shed and grabbed a bale of hay. The hay was wraped in bailing twine. Stardust cantered back to Buckshot's paddock and dropped the bale of hay into his paddock. Stardust hopped into the paddock and pushed Buckshot away until the twine had be cut. Stardust then hopped out of the paddock with the twine in her teeth. Stardust spit the twine on the ground outside the hay shed so no horse would eat it thinking it was food, she then repeted the process with the appy and his friend before cantering back to her paddock and jumping back in.
