They continued the journey all day. More people would come out and see the horses. Most of them would rush over to them to pat them. Stardust and Honeysuckle gladly accepted pats where as Cobalt would stand back and rear if anyone came to close to him. They carried on and sometime would take a little time to mw some nice people's lawns. They were sure to dispose of their waste not on people's lawns. They stayed away from the highways to avoid being run over by a car. At one point they were on the news because many people called the police and the news that there were three horses calmly walking down roads with no owner in sight. All three horses shied away from the flashing cameras and giant microphones. Once the news people put all that away Stardust gladly accepted pats from those people and so did Honeysuckle. But when one of them tried to capture them they quickly trotted off. It was around three o'clock before Stardust turned down a street and towards a condo. The scent of Kristie was strong and on the road all the little kids were just riding the bus home. Kristie would be home in about an hour. Cobalt, Honeysuckle and Stardust went to grazing the lawn as people passed. None of they were going to move. Soem people came over to pet them but most of them ignored the horses on the lawn.
Suddenly Stardust smelt the air and the scent of Kristie was getting stronger. When Kristie turned the corner Stardust started to trot towards her girl and the trotting soon became cantering. Kristie heard the weird hoof beats and looked up to see the mare she thought she would never see again cantering towards her.
STARDUST! STARDUST! STARDUST! Kristie yelled and started running towards her beloved mare. Once Stardust was two feet away from Kristie she slid to a stop and let her girl run full speed towards her and wrap her arms around her neck. How much Stardust had dreamed of this moment. Kristie hugged her neck until she heard more hoof beats behind her mare.
HONEYSUCKLE! Kristie jogged towards the golden mare nad wrapped her arms around her neck too. Once Kristie was done she realized that there was a third horse. A big black horses. She started to walk towards Coablt. He quickly backed up and reared. Kristie slowed her pace and dropped her bag. Inside she reached around for the carrots she did not eat. Slowly she reached out and held the carrot out to Cobalt. Cobalt reached his neck out and snatched the carrot. Kriste gave each one of the mare a carrot before giving another one to Cobalt. It took a whole bag of carrots but after the last carrot Cobalt let Kristie reach up and pat him. Kristie started walking towards her house with three horses in tow. Once at the steps she sat down and pulled out her phone to text her parents to come down. The horses wandered over to the grass and Kristie set down her backpack and walked over to Stardust. Kristie then hopped on her mare bareback and tackless. She just sat tall on her mare letting her eat all the grass she wanted until her parents came out.
Her parents were shocked but quickly said that Kristie Could keep all of the due to the long grueling journey they must have had to take. They also said they would make arrangments to board them somewhere that night.
