Me: Welcome back. Blarr... I can't explain my laziness. But I'll also say I'm not REALLY lazy; those revisions are eating me up. Still though, I do need to work on them a little more... so I can end this revision project quicker and get back to faster updates! Not only that but school really trampled me over the last couple weeks; only three more months left of school, and all my teachers are really piling on the assignments so I'm really busy. Grr, curse school!
Shard: *Nuzzling Thunder's chest in affection*
Thunder: *Quickly pecks the top of her head*
Me: Okay... there's a third reason too for this slow update. *Motions at them* I'm not used to... this. I mean THEY'RE MEANT TO BE TOGETHER, we've all wanted this, but I'm not used to writing about it. I needed some time to... let it sink in... I mean, it's been like a year so... wait. O-O OHMIGAWSH!
Shard: *Takes a moment and glances at me* Shadow?
Me: D': *Wipes a few tears* HOW DARE I FORGET! *Frantically runs in circles*
Shard: *Breaks away from Thunder and darts towards me* What's wrong?!
Me: I-I... *Freaks out a little more before continuing* A couple months ago I realized it was coming close to a 1-year anniversary of this story! This is more important than Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine's Day all wrapped up into one amazing celebration! AND... *Sniff* I FORGOOOTTT! I HAVE NO RIGHT TO CALL MYSELF AN AUTHOR! SHARD, HAND ME THE SPATULA OF DEATH!
Shard: O.O No!
Thunder: *Rushes over* Shadow, calm dow-!
Me: I CAN'T! I ruined EVERYTHING! I don't deserve to have my fingers touch this keyboard! D:
Shard: Bu... but... Thunder, do something!
Thunder: *Pins me to the ground, hoping that I'd slowly wear away of energy*
Me: Hey, don't you DARE pin me! *Holds up a bright pink eraser and rubs away one of Thunder's paws*
Thunder: *Loses balance enough to be pushed off*
Me: *Runs for my life* YOU'LL NEVER CATCH ME! I'M THE GINGERBREAD SNIVY! NYHEHEHEH!*Starts erasing all of my surroundings*
Shard: o.- We should go chase her. This is bad.
Thunder: *Nods in agreement* Um... enjoy the chapter everyone?
Thunder's POV
"Petal, I'm not sure about this..."
The leafeon interjected, "C'mon Shard! You wanted to evolve for a long time and we're already here!" Her leafy tail thrashed behind her in disbelief. She motioned at the icy rock once more, kept up her impish composure, and leaned down so they were muzzle-to-muzzle. The eevee cub shrunk down and her ears lowered. "I thought you wanted to be a glaceon! Don't shy out of it now!"
I briefly studied the surroundings. Frosted stalagmites were sustained on the cavern's ceiling. The area was shadowed in darkness. There was just a sole entrance that shed some light inside, and the smooth ice layers reflected it faintly throughout the cave. From the entrance the ice floor sloped down as a tunnel and it formed into a little, underground room. In the center lied a boulder of pure ice that held an unnatural glow. My fur lit up in faint volts impulsively, yet it had no effect on the darkness. Instead of a golden flare my electricity was ghostly white, and it didn't emit any sort of glare. I knew this kind of dream; it was lucid like the one with Shard and her parents. It was even in excruciating detail.
