On the way home I couldn't stop thinking about him. The way he could see right through me as if he's known me for years, and the way he looks at me like i'm a person and not just a pretty girl.

No guy has ever looked at me the way he looks at me.

We made it to Gia's house and her mom welcomed us in. "Hey girls, you came back just in time. Dinner is ready." She smiled warmly. Gia walked over to her mom and gave her a quick hug. "It smells amazing mom."

Rue and I walked into the kitchen to look at the stove. "Wow mom, smells good." Rue was about to dip her finger into the mashed potatoes but her Leslie smacked her hand. "Go set the table."

We laughed and I went to go help Rue.

We all sat down and began to serve ourselves . "So how have you ladies been doing in school?" Leslie asked as she took a bite of her chicken. "You know how it is." I laughed.

We all sat around making jokes and having a good time. Leslie was like my second mom. I loved being around her.

After dinner Gia and I helped Leslie clean the dishes while Rue went up to her room. I could tell that Leslie knew that something wasn't right with Rue by the way she constantly stared at her and her movements.

I honestly felt bad for them. I couldn't imagine having an older sister who was never clean and constantly putting me through hell. As much as I love Rue she really puts Leslie and Gia through some shit.

Gia always vents to me about Rue. I've seen so many years fall down her cheeks. And she's seen so many fall down mine. We trust each other with everything.

When we finished the dishes it was time for me to get home. I called my mom and let her know that it was time to pick me up.

When I saw her car parked outside I said hugged Leslie and thanked her for the dinner. Gia walked me out.

I got in my car and told Gia goodbye. "See you tomorrow." She smiled and waved goodbye to my mom and I.

"Hi baby, how was your day?" My mom asked softly. She always asked me about my day.

"It was good. How was yours?" I replied while changing the radio station. "Busy but good." She smiled putting a warm hand over my thigh for a moment.

"Mom?" I looked at her. "Yes?" She answered keeping her eyes on the rode.

"How do you know when a guy is interested in you?" I asked. She raised an eyebrow. "Well a guy should never confuse you. If you are left wondering well then he probably doesn't, at least not yet."

"Oh. Thanks mom."

"Uh huh. Wanna tell me more about this mystery boy?" She asked with a slight smile. I laughed "Nope. There's nothing to tell yet."

"Well alright then."
