today was the last day before spring break, i was excited. gia and i still haven't spoken and i realized how much i care about her because not being able to talk to her about my day or what i should wear really fucking sucks, so i decided to text her.
"hey gia i know things have been weird between us but i want to let you know that i will always be here for you."
from gia <333: "i know, i really hate fighting with you and i'm so sorry scar, i was upset and took it out on you."
seeing that text made me feel so much better, it was like a weight being lifted off of my shoulders.
i told her everything was okay and we decided to meet after school at the park. i also told her about the things she missed while we weren't speaking.

i got ready for school and because it was the last day before break i wanted to look somewhat nice.
i straightened my long brown hair and wore a lace tank top under my red short sleeve top. it was finally getting hot outside and i could start wearing short sleeves. i also went with some dark low waisted jeans and my black low top converse, per usual.

i checked my makeup and outfit in my mirror before leaving and then got into the car.
on the way to school i didn't talk much. i was thinking about what happened with him.
when my mom texted me that she was here i looked at ashtray and told him i was going to leave. he said "okay" and walked me out. it was awkward because neither of us knew what to say.
we haven't spoken yet, i wish he wouldn't have threatened that kid.
i was a bit taken back but not scared. i'm not afraid of ashtray, im just worried that one day he'll hurt someone just because they looked at me.
we aren't even together either. do i want to be with him? how would he act? am i ready for a relationship?
a lot of things were going on in my mind but i decided to take a deep breath and not stress or think about them.
we finally got to school and i saw gia at the front entrance waiting for me. when i saw her i smiled and gave her a hug.
"ugh i missed you girl." she spoke. "me too." i said back.
we talked as much as we could before going to class.
after school
i texted my mom and reminded her that me and gia were going to the park.
from mom: "ok honey, text me if you guys need a ride?"
i texted her back with an "of course."
the park we were going to was close to our school so we wanted to walk.
"ok i need you to tell me more about you and ashtray." she nudged me playfully.
i laughed and told her everything.
"oh my god! you so like him scarlett." she smiled huge. "shut up." i laughed.
"i just don't really want to go there with anyone." i looked at her. "i know but maybe he'll be good for you? when you talk about him your eyes light up and your cheeks get pink scar." she looked at me with a soft look.
"he does make me happy but i'm scared. his life is dangerous and what if i get hurt?" i look down. "he wouldn't hurt you scarlett, because if he did i'd kill him." she half smiles. i laughed softly.
i missed this, being able to talk and laugh with my best friend.
"so what about you, how's your boy toy?" i nudged her playfully like she does with me when bringing up ashtray.
"jackson's fine." she tried to hide her blush.
"your face is so red gia!" i laughed. "oh my god shut up." she spoke while touching her cheeks.
we got to the park and just messed around. it was fun.
we were starting to get hungry so gia texted her mom and asked if they can get pizza tonight.
after her mom said yes i texted mine. "hey mom gias mom is going to come pick us up and we're going to have pizza."
from mom: "ok, text me when to come and pick you up."
"actually mom can gia come stay the night?"
"of course, text me when you guys are ready."
"ok, i love you."
"i love you too honey."

we ate and i thanked gias mom.
rue wasn't here, she was at rehab again but she gets out next week.
we went into gias room and she started to pack a bag since she was staying at my house.
after she was done i texted my mom and we went to say bye to leslie.
"have fun girls." leslie said as we left.
we got into the car and my mom asked if we were all set, we said yes and she started driving home.
