chapter seventeen

i walked out with a slight blush on my face.

"bye scarlett." fez said to me.

i gave him a light smile before catching up with the girls.

"what were you doing?" gia asked. "um nothing i was just talking to someone." i looked down trying to hide my now pink face.

gia just laughed and i knew that she knew exactly what happened. we got in maddys car and drove to a park. it was about 7:30 so it was starting to get dark.

"i don't condone underage drugs but if you want to have some go ahead." maddy said looking at both me and gia.

"we're good." i said looking at gia. we don't do drugs, we never have. it was mostly because of the way rue is though.

"i'll take one." gia spoke up. i looked at her with a confused expression. "what?" i looked at her with a confused expression. "damn okay gia." kat laughed while handing her a pill.

gia then popped one in her mouth

"no gia stop." i tried to grab it from her but it was too late. "what the fuck gia!"  i shouted.

"chill out scarlett." gia looked at me with an annoyed expression.

"i'm not going to chill out, you just took a really hard drug." i looked at her. i was upset. i saw the way rue was and i didn't want my best friend to end up that way.

kat and maddy were high as hell and so was gia.

"oh my god what the fuck." i thought to myself.

it was 8:50 and i needed to get home.

ok i need to go. gia let's go cmon. i tried to grab her arm but she pushed me off.

"what the hell gia!" i yelled. i was now pissed off. "stop being like this." i said.

"if you want to leave fucking go, no one is stopping you." she rolled her eyes and maddy and  kat all laughed.

i looked at their high faces and did what i thought i should do.

i called ashtray.

"wassup scarlett?" he spoke.

"ashtray i need you and fez to pick us up." i said worriedly.

"what's wrong?"

"gia and the girls are high and i don't want gias mom to see her like this." my voice was shaky.

"ight i'm on my way."

20 minutes later.

ashtray and fez pulled up and i ran to him.

"it's okay relax im here." he said as he hugged me back. i just stayed quiet with my hands held tightly around his neck.

fez got the girls in the car and told ashtray to drive me home and take maddys car back to the gas station.

we got in maddys car and it was silent. i wanted to cry, i was so stressed out today and gia was being crazy.

i couldn't blame her though, she has a rough night.

ashtray placed his hand on my thigh. i looked at him and placed my hand on top of his.

"when will they be sober?" i asked him. "in a couple hours." he looked at me with a comforting expression.

i looked out the window and tried to stay calm.

we finally got to my house, i said thank you and got out of the car. before i could he grabbed my hand and looked at me once more.

"i care for you. i don't know why but i do, and i'm glad you called me today." he spoke with a soft voice.

i smiled and kissed his soft lips. "i care for you too." then i walked into my house.

i stayed up waiting for a text from gia because i was not sleeping until i got one.

"i'm fine scarlett." she texted me at 12:30.

and that was all i needed so i finally went to sleep.
