"See ya at lunch." Piper called to them as they left for first period.

"Good luck." Hazel said as if she has bad times at school.

"Grace, Jason." The teacher called out.

"Present and accounted for." He said.

"Suck up." A few people snickered earning a death glare from Piper, at the left of the isle. They ignored her, continuing to comment on his too-perfect clothes, his stiff posture, and more he couldn't hear.

"Starneleed, Jarome." Mrs. Allanes said, her voice harder." He looked at the boy she was looking at. A preppy, bad boy who obviously likes being the center of attention, sat on his desk. He looked up and said, "Can we go home now? This is boring," earning a glare from the teacher. He then caught Jarome trying to get Piper's attention. Jason clenched his fists, stopping the shaking and watched her ignore him.

She started stating all rules and expectations and Jarome was still flirting with a still irritated Pipes. She barely reacted as he threw balls of paper at her back. he then threw a paper airplane which hit her back. He looked at it and saw writing. He bent behind her and picked it up. My place 7? My parents aren't home until next Tuesday on a business trip.

He whipped his head back and Piper halfheartedly told him not to let it bother him, "what's wrong, Jarome?" Jarome sneered and his friends laughed. "You can't get your own girls?" At that, the whole class went 'Ohhhhhh!' "Well, back off of my girl. It's obvious she's interested in me, not you."

"How long will that last? I'd like to know. It's obvious she's way too good for you."

"Maybe, but if that's true then how do you deserve to live in the same era as her?"

"BOYS!!"

Jason muttered a simple apology as Jarome replied, "am I bothering you? I'm so sorry! I didn't know!"

"I'll give you a warning."

"Seems you just did," he started packing up.

"Jarome-"

"I know, again and I'll go to the office. Scary," he picked his stuff up.

"That's it."

"I'm going." He sauntered down the isle. He 'accidentally' bumped into Piper and dropped his stuff. Crouching down, he 'accidentally' knocked her stuff over. He made a big show of picking her stuff up and presented it to her, barely leaving space between them. He then picked his stuff up and left, winking before opening the door.

Jason was fuming, "I'll end up killing him if he doesn't leave you alone." She laughed and kissed him before being asked if they'd like to be next.

A few minutes later, Jarome came back, saying the office wouldn't deal with brats the first day of school.
