Jason - Maybe there're some decent people after all.

While Percy was off singing Under The Sea, Jason was stuck in a class his dad obviously picked. He sighed, wishing his dad knew him better. Leo had workshop, perfect for him. Annabeth had the perfect one for the perfectionist: architecture. Even Frank had zoology! If only his dad weren't so oblivious! The sky rumbled at that but Jason refused to apologize.

Even with the complaining, Jason sat straight, two pencils at the ready. Ms. Wahge had a powerpoint and didn't hand out notes. Though his phone vibrated, he payed attention, taking notes. It was his first college-credit plus course and it was fast-paced. Although it was only an introduction, Jason took notes; it was better to research said topics so he had an idea of what they're about.

He knew nothing of business and, unlike his father's thoughts, didn't want to. He wouldn't be a salesman. He wouldn't run a company. He wouldn't do anything of the sort. He didn't know what he wanted, but it wasn't this.

"Jason Grace!"

"Yes?" he added at her glare, "ma'am?"

"What have I been talking about?"

Looking at the power point, he spoke, unsurely, "your homework expectations."

"Maybe you wouldn't have to look at the smart board if you learned how to," she spoke her words crisply. "pay. A-ttention!"

"Duly noted."

"Are you being smart with me?"

"No, ma'am."

Hmmph! was all she said.

"Don't mind her," a girl on his other side said. "She's always picking on someone. I'm Haely."

"Jason, Jason Grace."

"So I heard," she smiled. "The last name's Smith."

"Haely Smith!"

"Yep?"

"What are you doing?"

"Talking to Jason."

"Are you supposed to?"

"Nope!" the 'p' being popped.

"Will you stop?"

"You wish!"

"I honestly do."

"You need to lighten up," she said, facing me. Pushing her red hair from her eyes, she smiled. "I think you'd make more friends if you smile more often, to. You don't have a bad one." He hadn't even realized he was smiling.

"Maybe you smile too much."

"Probably."
