Chi--Mr. Bruner calmed the class down and explained how the unit would work. After the designated two language courses, they would go on to their chosen mythology unit. The options were Greek, Egyptian, Latin, and Norse. All that are proven to be true...that part was unspoken. Chiron looked at him as if to say: I'm sorry but Chinese isn't proven.
"Excuse me," the not-so 'able-to-hold-a-conversation-in-Greek' girl. "Shouldn't we learn about other religions...like Biblical Mythology?"
"Do you expect me to cover all religions?"
"Most of us are Christian."
"Raise your hand if you're not." Two thirds of the class did. "Any more questions?"
"Shouldn't we have an option?"
"You will get one."
"I refuse to take part of this."
"Good luck getting in college."
"Thanks...not that I'll need it."
"I think you will."
"You shouldn't say that to a student."
"Don't talk back to a teacher."
"I'm not."
"Then shut it." He stared at her, pointedly, and she blushed. "As I was saying, you'll have a 100-point project due at the end of the year going into certain branches of the topic. By topic I mean Greek, Egyptian, Latin, and Norse. Any questions? Good. Go ahead and talk."
