Book One - The Dragonkin Empire.

At the ceiling? ...

Lumiere's side.

"You sure it's fine if we leave her like this?" the voice of lixk sounded as carefree as ever., even when in this situation Alice and I were truly nervous.

"You don't think something's going to happen to her while she's unconscious, right?  Maybe a wild boar goes rampant and ..."

"Gee, don't worry " I cut Alice before she could damage any more her image. " I picked this room that had mana concentrated enough so I could hide her, and when she wakes up she won't be able to  follow our trail "

I tried talking like I had everything under control, but, truth be told, I was feeling very uneasy, what we were doing was no small thing.

 A few days ago I was rescued and kidnapped by two twins that were sent over by Lily, I was tied with a rough string that restrained my hands and feets, while in this state I was carried by Alice, on Lixk's back there was the sleeping face of our Chief that to due unnexpected circunstances she was put to sleep.

 Through out the week I've tried many times to escape, talk them into letting me go and a few times I tried to mount a illusion in order to escape but Alice's reaction to magic is too painful so I stopped. All the decisions were made by the twins, and all of them were utterly wrong, the Tunel was designed so only magic users could find the way out, to a non-magic person it would keep mounting illusions confusing them, and since all the place was built with mana it could re-arranged the rooms, doors and corridors, and even more annoying than that was that each floor had a vast variety of vegetation and wildlife such as boars, bears and some kinds of big cats, all this life had to be sustain by a great amount of water, since this place wasn't the least normal we found great pools of water in some rooms and some waterfalls that were connected through magic to another room. Because all of that and their stubbornness in keeping me tied, somehow, we were about to reach the ceiling, at this point I was finally released from the clutches of despair and could walk on my feet.

 The most pressing matter for us was the death weight of our Chief and the fact that we kept knocking her out by hitting her on the head, in the end Lixk and I decided to leave her somewhere safe while Alice adamantly refused

" I would love to see her reaction when she sees her head is three times her normal size"

"I know, it really is a shame"

"I can arrange that both your heads grow up!"  while exchanging this useless battering I picked up the mana and build three walls around the Chief for protection as well as a little cell and left the supplies we managed to gather..

"And exactly how the Chief will get out of there?" Alice questioning me about every little thing on the matter was pretty annoying.

"Remember that she taught me all I know about the fine details to manipulate mana, she'll be able to get out,  I'm more worried that she gets out to quickly, if that happens she's gonna chase us using the mana you two let out unconsciously.

" I didn't knew we also had mana".Alice was traying hard to not look this way.

 I started explaining while building the room "Every person has a certain amount of mana, the strength, quality and quantity,  all vary from each person " Lixk and I have begun to get along better and since he started showing some interest about the mana I decided to answer all of his questions in the form of lectures. " Every thing exudes mana, it's basically the life force of all things, if a person tried to use his own flow of mana it would result in various phenomenons over the body, some effects are weak and fade but if one uses a large amount or uses frecuently it can result in the reduction of his life span, damage to the brain or he could die..."
