Lily's side.
I took off my coat and put it on the arm chair while glancing outside from my window.
"So now that we're here, what's the next step?"
"Mmmm... After three weeks of travel I would like to think Lixk has already arrived and set things in motion... but nevermind that, in any case I can't do anything on that front for now, for the time being we'll meet with the bishop so you must dress accordingly." I spoke curtly to Hekte that was still wearing a ragged shirt and pants.
"Fine, I suppose it can't be help, but why do we, the Keton-ri, suddenly have to send an envoy?."After three weeks of travel we've finally arrived to the east two days ago
"We came here as an special envoy to renew our frienship with the East tribe, but that's only an excuse, what we want is to better understand how the East tribe has changed in the recent years, it has been a long time since the last envoy, aside from the small information we get from the merchants we know next to nothing about it, use your head a little or at least make the effort, please."
I wanted to meet the bishop immeadiately but the priests told us to wait for him to receive us. We were given a luxurious room on a low tower that gave a clear view of the landscape, the city isn't as busy as the North or West, the people living here are refined, quite and gentle, exactly why I don't like this place, it's to quiet, nothing ever seems to happen. I was lost in thought when a subtle knock was heard.
I didn't turn expecting Hekte to take care of it, when the sound came again I turned annoyed glaring at him but he simply shrugged.
"Don't mistake me for one of your servants little princess, if you want them to stop the knocking simply open the door." I hate the cocky smile he usually wears. Without moving from my spot I asked who it was feeling humiliated.
"I bear a message for Miss Liliana."
" Come on in."
A man clad in blue clothes entered ceremoniously and bowed deeply to me. "Excuse me, the bishop is expecting the opportunity to attend you tomorrow morning at sunrise."
"I understand." The man bowed and turned to leave but I called back to him. "Excuse me, this may be sudden but can I ask a favor of you, please send some fitting clothes for my companion?" The bishop turned to look at Hekte and couldn't help but frown at the beast of a man that was in front of him, he was sitting in a nice couch with his large, muddy frame dirtying it, the chest bared and the hair ruffled. I could see the hesitation in the man's eyes wondering if that was really all that my status and the North tribe had to offer for such especial ocassion.
"Of course, I'll have them sent right away." he still spoke politely but the man left the room with a haughtier demeanor than when when he had knocked.
"You're ruining my reputation."
"Nobody cares anymore about that." He said that and laid on the couch to sleep
"I still don't know why I choose you to come with me."
"Because I am more useful than little Alice and much less dangerous than her stupid brother, that's why." I just heaved a quiet sigh and looked out the window again feeling dejected.
Alice's side
Lumiere's squatting down in front of the old dead tree, he told me that his friend was below, I can't say I'm getting much of the weird situation, I always thought that he had lived in the north before meeting Lily and the Chief but now he says he resided here first. I wonder just how much it is that I don't know about him.
