 Lily's side

 "Gasp, gasp."

"It seems you can't win against him."

"Nah, he's powerful enough but I can beat him"

 "Doesn't looks that way."

"If I can't do it it's because of you, I'm at a disadvantage because you're here. We're still half a day away from the village but you should be fine by yourself, so you go ahead and wait there while I finish this."

"That is not acceptable, a proper lady never goes without a proper escort."

"I don't care, deal with it."

"Obnoxious little brat. I know you're going to end up chewed so make sure you don't die."

 "Hush. It's here."

Our current situation was brought about due to carelessness on my behalf. It was midday and the weather was hot, we've been walking for days now and I was exhausted so I got tired of walking, then I saw a river nearby and asked if we could have lunch, my escort allowed me, and we ate together, after lunch I got drowsy, and asked for a short nap, which he still agreed after a little discussion. Half an hour later he woke me up and said we had been too much time in one place and that we should move quivkly, I didn't listen to him and prepare to leave real slow to annoy him, like a little brat I was upset because I didn't finish my nap, I was still tired and sweaty.

I took out my map and searched for the best route. We crossed a river few days ago that ran on top of a big hill and since then we've been going down the gentle slope that extends for various miles. WHile going down from afar we could see another river coursing the at the feet of the hill that followed its curves with little change in the altitude, after we managed to cross the river at the bottom I decided to throw my tantrum.

Between the river at the bottom of the hill and our traveling destination was a meadow without any cover for nearly thirty miles, we just crossed the river so we could walk beside it until we reached the town, it would take us about one day and a half or we could go along the edge of the mountain range. The first was shorter but it was more likely that we could find a demon since it offered no cover while the second would take longer, to three to for days of more traveling. I decided to go along the river, if we were to hurry we could be in the village by night of tomorrow. Again after a lot of nagging and discussion my guard agreed. We walked and before long I got tired again and asked for another brake, he refused and told me we didn't have the time, that we were passing through a dangerous zone in which some demons lurked, not that I didn't know.

I started trhowing another tantrum and screamed that I didn't see anything no matter which direction Iooked, he ignored me and pulled me along, I pretended to weep and screamed far and wide, I've been traveling for almost three weeks without rest and I wasn't used to travel long distances which made me have an awful mood.

After a while he stopped and closed his eyes. "Shut up, don't you feel it?" He asked while looking straight at me with serious eyes. "You have attracted one, stop and feel the ground." I focused and felt a little rumbling on the ground, so slight it was hard to tell. "Come, we'll see it before he sees us." he went ahead on a rock beside the river and helped me up.

The most amazing creature was in front of me, a huge creature, dark as the pit of night, was trotting in this direction coming from the front along the river. It still had ways to go before actually getting here but it was traveling fast and it showed no sign of getting tired.
