Minor angst warning!! Also, are you really friends if you don't bully each other?

America in the gentle ambience of spring. Adam loved spring, buds blooming, temperature gradually warming, and observing the world pop back to life at a leisurely pace. Mammals who overwintered in caves or warmer regions stepping foot in the great outdoors for the first time in many months. Should he wish to comfortably slip between hoodie's and t-shirts, he could freely, the temperature warmed so much so goosebumps no longer glare at him from his shivering arms. As an escapism from such stressful conditions as an animator, Adam would take occasional strolls through well-kept gardens of breathtakingly beautiful flowers blooming with every step. There was one flower, exquisitely lovely, which reminded him of James so much so he loitered by it to drink in it's beauty.

James, on the other hand, was not to fond of the season. Hay fever, the fiendish pollen allergy preventing him from seeing spring's colours in the same light as Adam did. Rosy red nose sniffling intermittently with tissues amassing at his coffee table.

"Now do you see why I hate spring?" Voice hoarse owing to the fact his nose was blocked up, James gratefully took the warm cup of tea. Adam perched on the sofa beside him, his legs curling up to his chest.

"Yeah, yeah, you proved your point, James." Adam should have heeded the signs sooner. Left unsaid, Adam had no way of knowing such a thing! "Your nose still feeling like bull crap?"

"Maybe you should be asking that question to me instead of my nose."

"Sorry, my bad, let me rephrase that," Adam dramatically cleared his throat. "Are YOU still feeling like bull crap?"

"Better." James stifled a laugh, "But no, I feel like shit."

"Great to hear." James brought his cup to his lips and sipped slowly until he drank a sufficient amount; precise measure, slightly less than a mouthful.

James was Adam's world. With platonic connotations, obviously. Adam wouldn't comment on it knowing James would most likely tease him or poke at how he's 'going soft', yet under the surface of snarky retorts, Adam knew James felt that way, too. Close-knit friends who'd get their knuckles bloody under reasonable circumstances. Against the world, they stuck by one another. Comforted one another, swiped each other's popcorn whilst they were unknowing, eyes fixated on the movie.

Finally, James commented. He's not blinded to Adam's dorky nature, he knew that smile better off than Adam's own parents.

"You've got that smile on your face again." You needn't a detective to deduct Adam's swirling thoughts produced happy chemicals in his brain. James offered him a smile, "What're you thinking about this time?"

"You're a great guy, that's all." Adam tossed his head back, the light further illuminating his soft features. "You're like- super cool, and fun to be around, all that stuff. Do you think we'll always be like this?"

"Whaaaat are you on about?" James caught the first vowel on his tongue, holding it. "I mean, of course we will? You're a great guy, too, you know you are. Don't tell me I have to knock some sense into you, cause i'll do it." James threatened and Adam shook his head quickly.

"Nah, nah, I'm good! I was just thinking about it. You have a lover now, and that's really important! I just- I guess I don't really like the thought of moments like this coming to an end. We're not even doing anything! Just, chilling." James blinked slowly then grinned, pumping his fist in the air.

"I'm not going anywhere, so you better learn to put up with me!" Exclaimed he, "Don't worry about all that stuff. Having a lover doesn't isolate you from your friends, for starters, and secondly, if I want to spend time with you then I will! If I hear you say anything about 'not being worthy' or something, I will personally list every reason I hang out with you. Don't try me, Adam."
