Meghan's POV:
When I walked in the door and saw Jack and jack sitting at the table waiting for me, I knew that something was wrong.

"Hey guys." I said.

"How was your trip with  Luke?" Jack asked. Busted.

"Oh-um..It was fine." I replied awkwardly." Look I'm sorry for lying but I knew that if I told you where I was going you wouldn't have let me go."

"That's what we want to talk about." Jackjack said, gesturing to the open seat at the end of the table.

"So we've been keeping something from you for a while and I think now it a good time to finally tell you." jack started." These are your guardian papers and I highlighted the paragraph that talks about rules and regulations." He explained as he handed them to me.

I looked over them but one caught my eye.

Upon Meghan Irwin's eighteenth birthday(3/22/16) she will be under the watch and care of  and beside it was Jack's signature.

"Wait what does this mean?" I asked them.

"Legally you are an adult and you're no longer under Jack's care." Jackjack explained.

"That's why we aren't mad that you lied because we can't really tell you what to do anymore." Jack added.

"Why didn't you guys tell me earlier like when i turned eighteen?" I asked them.

"Remember Michael and Calum kept giving you drinks seeing if you could handle your liquor and you got a little drunk and reckless?" Jack asked.

"Not really."

"Well you did and we decided that you were no ready to be left on your own to make choices but now you're older, you and Luke are getting more serious so now was probably the best time to let you know." Jack explained.

"Does this mean you guys are kicking me out?" I asked.

"No, no. We love having you here and you can live here for as long as needed because we aren't going anywhere but if you want to leave you are legally allowed to." Jackjack answered.

"Wow," I muttered as i sat back in my chair." I can't believe its been eight years since I moved here."

"I know, time flies by fast."
