Chapter 3

(Aratani's POV)

"Alright. So five students are in the remedial class, and the other 15 are set to continue." Shota explained as we were getting ready for the training camp. "The five in the remedial class are: Mina, Kaminari, Eijiro, Sato, and Sero?" I said the last one more as a question. "Is there some confusion Aratani?" "I thought Midnight's team passed." I said. "Well...Mineta did. Sero didn't contribute much." Aizawa explained. "I guess." I grumbled. I wasn't apart of the test only because I beat the shit out of those kids everyday with their own quirks. It seems like I was going to do so regardless, because I was told extra hands on deck. As the kids came in and looked at me, the girls' faces lit up. "You're coming with us Aratani?" Mina said excited. I never wanted to be called Ms. Aizawa, it made me uncomfortable, so I stuck with my name. "Yeah I am. However, I can't save you from the remedial classes. You gotta do that on your own." I said while she complained. I enjoyed class A, and I had the opinions about them. Class A seemed to enjoy my company as well, especially the girls. "Well it's good to have you Ms. Aizawa." Ida said and I cringed. "Ida...I appreciate the respect but please call me Aratani. You know I hate the whole 'Miss Aizawa' thing. I'm only 19, and I would rather not be associated with..." I looked at Shota..."Your home room teacher like that." I said. "Noted Miss Aratani." He said. I sighed exasperated. "Close enough." I groaned. Eventually we all loaded on the bus. Aizawa told them they should be on guard but no one was paying attention. 

     "Ari!" I heard Hagakure's voice and I turned. The girls wanted to sit and talk about all kinds of things so I did so with them. "Is there a special man in your life?" Mina asked and all the girls looked at me expectantly. I thought back to Kaen. "Well no, but there's this guy." I started and the girls leaned in. "I patched up his wound...kinda helped him." I said. Some of the boys tuned in. "OOOOOH!" The girls cooed. "Looks?" Hagakure asked. I chuckled. "Um..." I tried to find a way around it because these girls would think I was crazy. "Turquoise eyes...Kinda like Shoto's." I said. "Really?" Momo said. "Yeah. They seemed to...glow in the dark. His eyes were beautiful...hypnotizing." I said. I visioned his eyes. "Oh my god Ari! How did you meet?" Mina asked. "I saved his life." I answered. "Has Mr. Aizawa met him?" Uraraka asked. "No, Ochaco. Dad doesn't even know about him." I said, looking up at my father driving the bus. "Ribbit. Are you going to tell him?" Tsu said. "To be honest...no." "Well you obviously told someone." Jiro piped in. "Of course. I told Midnight." I answered. "Ah, leave it to Miss Midnight." Mina said. "Aratani!" My dad called. I smiled. "'Scuse me ladies, We'll talk later." I said getting up and walking to my dad. "Yessir." I answered him. He leaned in and whispered to me the plan. "Did you copy their quirks?" He asked. "What kind of hero do you take me for?" I asked him as if to say "of course I did!"  He smirked. "That's my girl." He said as we high fived. Aizawa stopped the bus in front of a rest stop.

    Mineta runs out screaming about needing to use the restroom. 'Oh these poor kids.'  I thought as class 1-a notices Class 1-B hadn't shown up. Soon the pussycats showed up. Only two of them. Your feline fantasies are here! Say, "meow"." Mandalay started. "Purrfectly cute and cat like girls!" Pixie-bob continued. "You can call us the Wild Wild Pussycats!" They finished together. I rolled my eyes at their extravagant nature. 'Flashy.'  I thought to myself. Class 1-A looked absolutely confused...all except Midoriya, which is to be expected. "These are the Pro Heroes you'll be working with at the summer training camp." Aizawa stated calmly. Midoriya immediately got excited. "The Pussycat's were founded when we were kids like forever ago!" He said. "uh-oh." I thought. If there was one thing I knew, it's that Pixie-Bob HATED being called old. She immediately grabbed his face making it extremely clear she was not old. "Say hello." I said before Pixie-Bob could kill Midoriya. "Hello!" They said. "We own this whole stretch of land out here, as far as you can see." Mandalay said. A devilish smile crossed her face. "The current time is 9:15. If you're lucky you might make it to the base by noon." She said. Sero and Kirishima picked up immediately. They looked at me for reassurance that this was not about to happen. I shrugged and smiled sympathetically. "B-back on the bus." Sero said. "Run for it!" Kaminari yelled as all the students ran for the bus. "You should've guessed students." Shota said. "The training camp." He said as Pixie-Bob jumped in front of them. "Has already begun." He said as a landslide created by Pixie-Bob's quirk occurred.  The kids were shot off the mountain. They landed at the bottom all safe. "You've got three full hours, you should be able to make it to the facility in that time." Mandalay said. They finished giving the kids instructions and turned to us. "It's good to see you're still working Tani!" Mandalay said giving me a hug. I chuckled. "Glad to still be working." I responded. "Hold on!" Pixie-Bob said she grabbed me by my face and grinned. "I know that sparkle! It was there when-" "Don't." I said. "You LIKE somebody!" She said ignoring my comment. "Aratani hasn't met anybody to like somebody." My dad said. "Well, that's not entirely true Shota." I murmured. "Wait...did you meet somebody?" "It was brief but I told Midnight." 

     "Midnight...you told her and not me?" "Midnight's more of my mom." I explained. "She's got a point you know Eraser." Mandalay piped. He was fuming his hair going up in anger and his eyes turning red. "Aratani Mae-" "Don't Aratani Mae me Shota, You know how I am talking to you about girly things!" I stated. He sighed and got back on the bus. "We need to get to the base to meet the class." He said clearly still mad. I turned to the two feline heroines. "Sorry?" Pixie-Bob said. "Don't sweat it, I gotta go before he loses his mind." I said. "Hey Mandalay...that's water hoses' boy right?" I asked. "He's living with us now." Mandalay confirmed. "How's he doing?" I asked. "We'll see." She said. "Oh...let me see the quirk of you're mystery man." She asked. I lifted my palm demonstrating the blue flames. "Interesting." She said. ""I'll meet you guys." I said climbing on the bus playing with the blue flames. 

Kaen, or whoever you are...when will I see you again....?

 I know it's slow. But she'll meet Dabi again soon. I am following the story the best I can. Aratani has copied the pussycat's quirks as she has been around them before. Be ready for the next few chapters.
