Chapter 5

(Aratani's POV)

The next few days were filled with intense training from both Class A and Class B. The students were introduced to the last two Pussycats: Ragdoll and Tiger. I got the pleasure of running into them too.

 (Flashback)

"Little Aratani is that you?!" I heard the familiar voice say as I was scanning Class 1-B and Vlad King's quirks. I turned my head and I was met with a green haired woman tackling me to the ground. "Oh my god it is you! Pretty Kitty!" She said. I pushed her off of me. "Jesus Ragdoll!" I said getting up and helping her up. Once we stood up I was immediately pulled into a bone crushing hug. "Little Miss Aizawa! You've grown so much!" Tiger's voice boomed in my ear. "Good to see you too!" I said, struggling to breath. He let me go and I breathed in. "How are you pretty kitty?" Ragdoll said, using the nickname she gave me when I worked under them for my work study. "I'm fine." I said. "Ugh, it's been too long! Let's catch up-" "I would love to Ragdoll but I got work." I said motioning to the rest of the class 1-B students looking at me confused. "Later then!" She said walking away with Tiger. "Ari?" Tiger said and I looked back. "Don't hold back." He said. "Never do." I said  going back to scanning quirks.

(End of Flashback)

The remedial class was not doing so hot either. Shota had been putting them through the ringer. "Aratani." Shota says to me and I sighed, hardening my skin like Kirishima. "Think fast Red." I said as I started fighting him. He tried to keep up only for me to beat him easily. He groaned and I helped him up. "Sorry hon." I apologized patting his back. I go down the line beating every kid easily. I feel bad for them as my dad isn't relentless. Shota informs them that they need to work harder, and Izuku comes up to us. "Aratani!" He calls, catching Ragdoll's attention and mine. "What's up Midoriya?" I asked sliding down the mountain. "You know my dad doesn't want you distacted-" "I know. I was just wondering if any of the other heroes are going to be joining us." "Sorry kid, only a handful of us are here to help you guys." I said. "Oh I thought All Might would've been here too." "Yeah no. I know why you would want him here, but while he's super busy that is also a stretch and EXTREMELY dangerous." I said. He looks at me confused and Ragdoll steps in. "All Might's publicity makes him a target." She says before bouncing off somewhere else. "And since the league of villains rose and attacked the USJ plus your run in with the hero killer we want to keep you guys on the DL for your safety." I said. Pixie-bob then stepped in. "On another note, tonight after dinner there will be a little game: A test of courage!" She said excitedly. After the kids go to dinner I stand with Shota in the training ground with Mandalay and Pixie-Bob. "I'm going to be teaching another class tonight with Vlad King, do you mind staying here with Mandalay, Pixie-bob, and Tiger to run the game?" He asked. I rolled my eyes. 

     "'Course not dad, I'll be okay." I said. "We'll be safe." I said. 

(Dabi's POV)

Shigaraki came up with the plan to attack the training camp and take the one blonde brat. Katsuki Bakugo. I was leading the Vanguard action squad through the forest, all the while thinking about the pro girl I met the week prior. The way her eyes shimmered and sparkled. The sarcasm dripping from her voice, mixed with matter of factness. She was perfect, she also read me like a book, no doubt she'd be pissed and hurt to know what I was about to do. "Yo Dabi!" Twice said. "You've been spaced all night! What's gotten into ya?/ You seem distracted from the mission!" Twice ticked. "Oooh! I know that look! It's the one I have whenever I think of Mr. Stainy, right Big Sis Mag?" Toga, the crazy blond chirped. "He does look like he's in a daze. Perhaps a certain girl?" Magne said from next to Toga. "There is no girl." I lied. "Bullshit!" Twice called. "Would you all just focus on what we came here to do?" I growled. 

            I continued to think about Aratani. She didn't seem to care; she just seemed like she genuinely wanted to help. "Twice...Make a double of me. The rest of you, you all know what to do." I said. I lit a tree on fire as Twice made the double and it escaped to the building. 'Get the job done. No time for distractions.' I said to myself. 

(Aratani's POV) 

The test of courage began, and twelve minutes had passed. I looked up smelling smoke. "Mandalay look!" I said pointing to the black smoke. "What the-?" Mandalay's cut off when Pixie-bob is struck to the ground suffering a blow to the head. "Pixie bob!" I said. We looked, a person with red hair, and a lizard looked at us. "You unworthy heroes." The lizard said. "Aratani." Mandalay whispered. "On my mark,  be ready to fight." She said. "Right." I agreed. Mandalay sent out a message to everyone. The villains attack and we go into action. "Ida, get back to Aizawa! GO!" I yelled. Midoriya runs the opposite direction. "Mandalay I know where Kota is!" He says. Mandalay stops and I block the villain, now revealed as Spinner from hitting her. "Wait-" Mandalay says. "Let him go." I said. "Are you sure-" "I'll deal with the repercussions later!" I told her. "Midoriya! SAVE THE BOY AND SHOW HIM WHAT A HERO DOES!" I called. He nodded and ran off. Our fight went on for awhile. Once we got Spinner down, i felt myself being lifted. "Whoa!" I looked over. The other villain revealing herself as Magne smiled. "Sorry darling, It's time to say goodnight." She said as she pulled me towards her ready to hit me, only for me to be dropped because Tiger punched her. "Thanks Tiger." I said getting up. "Ragdoll's not answering." Mandalay informed us. 

        "Something must've happened she always answers." I said blocking her from spinner again only to get slashed in the leg. "Fuck!" I yelled out. Spinner went to hit me again but was kicked by Midoriya. "Midoriya!" I said but immediately take notice of his arms. "Oh my god kid what did you-" "That doesn't matter." He cuts me off. "Mandalay!" He calls and she turns her attention to him. "Tell them to engage in combat!" He said. He looks at me. "Aratani, they're here for Kacchan." He said and my eyes widened. "For Bakugo?" I said. "I need to go in there." "You're too battered." "That's why I want you to come with me." He said. I didn't have time to think so I nodded. "Mandalay send out one more message. They're after one of my students." I said running into the woods. Midoriya explained the rest before catching up with me. "Ochaco and Tsu are in here somewhere." I said. "Go find them I'll find Kacchan!" He said. "Izuku-" "Just do it!" He said. This kid was running on pure adrenaline, but I decided to just go with what he said. "Be safe." I said running to find the girls.
