Chapter 13

I got up the next morning and looked over; Dabi was still sound asleep. I removed myself from his arms carefully. I thought and used his friend's quirk to make a double of myself. "Lay in the bed with him, okay?" I told her. She looked at mine- I guess our boyfriend and then back at me and nodded. I grabbed my hero costume and took a deep breath, I got changed in the bathroom and came out only to run face first into my boyfriend's chest. "Ow! Damnit!" I cursed, looking up at him. He smirked and helped me up. "You made a double? I'm impressed." He said with a smile. "Next time read the fine print though dolly. I break a bone. I know it's not you." He said lifting my chin. He looked at me. "Hm." He hummed about my hero costume. "What?" "You look good in this." He said, Pulling a piece of the skin tight fabric and letting it snap, hitting me in my hip. "OUCH!" I yelped. "You son of a b-" He cut me off with a searing kiss. I breathed out and kissed him back. "Seriously, it looks good on you. You're the one hero I don't hate." He said, pulling away. "You don't like me much either ace." I said to him jokingly. He rolled his eyes. "Come back later and report to me." "Like I'd tell you what's going on in this meeting." I said with a raised eyebrow, walking towards my door. "You still report to hand-face. So no." I said, shutting my door. 

                I took a deep breath of air. "It's good to be back." I said as I concentrated on my quirks and began to fly. I landed next to my dad. "Hey watch it!" He hissed not recognizing me until I pulled down the hood of my costume with a raised eyebrow. "Oh...sorry Aratani." He apologized. "No trouble." I said as we walked in I noticed plenty of the heroes. Ryukyu...Nejire obviously...Tamaki and Fatgum...Bubble Girl...Centipeter...Sir Nighteye...Rock Lock- wait a minute. I did a double take. Are these MY STUDENTS?! I looked at Ochaco, Tsu, Kirishima, and Midoriya all sitting with the pros they worked under. Nighteye called the meeting to order. The explanation was just as I suspected, Chisaki, the leader of the Chie Hissakai. According to Dabi he made quirk stopping bullets. Tamaki got shot with one but it wasn't permanent like Mr. C's. "He hates how corrupt hero society is." I whispered to myself. My father picked up on it and placed his hand on my knee. I sighed. "How is he making them?" I asked. "Aratani...I was leading to that." Nighteye said and a picture of a little girl showed up. The breath left my body. "We believe this little girl...is how. He seems to be breaking down her body to use her blood for his bullets." Centipeter began to explain but his voice sounded like it was underwater. I didn't know what was happening or what I was feeling. I felt sick to my stomach. This little girl. I stood up and walked out ignoring the calls of everyone. Mirio came out and sat next to me, and Midoriya on the other side. "It was our fault...we should've stopped him but Sir-" "No...you were following your orders." I said. I heard Rock Lock as the other walked out. "She may not be stable enough for this mission Erasure." "She's fine. She just needs a minute to get ready." "We don't have a minute." He said. "Excuse me boys." I said standing up, and walking to the men. "I got it from here dad. Talk to Midoriya for me." I said. He nodded and I turned to Rock Lock.

     "Ken...you just had a baby." I said. He looked at me. "A little boy...right?" I asked him. He sighed. "I'm worried about these kids...and you, kid." He said. "They're young and so are you...hell...this mission. Is it not going to be hard on you?" "It will be. But my mission as a Pro Hero is to protect and serve, and make sure people like that can't hurt my students, their families, and our families." I said to him. "I know my mom's judgement was rose tinted but I promise my head is in the game." I said with a smile. He took my hand. "Elementa would be proud T." He said with a smirk. I smirked back. "I know." I said and my eyes flashed. "Did you just-" "Give me a break I hadn't had a chance to copy your quirk. At least be grateful, I'm going to need everyone's!" I whined. He chuckled. "Then go back in there and do your job!" He said. I smiled and walked into the conference room before everyone left. "Everyone. I need to copy quirks." I said. They all smiled and stood in a line. I began copying. It took a minute until I reached Nighteye. "Aratani." He said. "Sir." I said as I copied it down. "USe it." He demanded. "W-What?" "Use it on me." He said. I gulped and did as he said. I gasped and pulled away. "N-Nighteye..." "I want you to take care of them." "N-no. You have to...You can't." "This is set." "Mirai don't say that...there has to be another way. An alternative! This isn't fate." "This IS fate, Ari." "Don't Ari me Mirai Sasaki! There has to be. You can't leave these boys! Especially, Mirio. You can't leave Centipeter and Bubble Girl." I said holding his hands. "You can't leave me." I said. He sighed and used his foresight on me. 

            "You are in that same weird situation Elementa was in...somehow though. You won't die the same way she did." He said. I looked at Mirai. "Are you sure?" I said. "I knew your mother. She made me promise the same thing Aizawa did." He said sitting me down at one of the chairs. "You are an amazing woman, hero, teacher, and student Aratani. I know it's going to be hard but when the time comes I need you to do something for me." He said. He whispered it in my ear. "I can't." "You can. You copied his quirk when you visited tartarus right?" He asked. I nodded slowly. "Then you got this. But I'm also going to ask you one more hard thing to do...when we fight this battle." He said. I gulped. "Use Domino's Quirk." He said. I bit my lip. No one had ever asked me to use my father's quirk...ever. It was too dangerous...too destructive...too deadly. "I know what you're thinking...but if anyone can control it...you can. I know we don't use this phrase and it has a negative connotation...but you're his daughter. We trust you though. You have to trust me Aratani. Do you?" Nighteye asked me. I looked my hands, then back at him and nodded. "I trust you Sir." "Then let's save this little girl." He said. I nodded. 

(Flashback) 

"Promise me something." He said. "What?" I asked. He moved my hero costume to my desk chair and sat me down on my bed. "Promise me that you'll come back to me in one piece when this all goes down." He said. I nodded. "I promise." I said cuddling into his arms.

 The memory of the night prior plagued my mind as I went through the rest of my days. I was basically a shell of a person. Dabi thought I needed space but seemed to have enough. "Okay. What happened at that meeting?" He asked me one night as we were wrapped up in the blankets. Sex wasn't the same with him as my thoughts were clouded. He lifted my chin. "Doll...talk." He ordered, his thumb slid across my bottom lip as he leaned to kiss me once more. "I have to use Domino's quirk when we fight Chisaki." I said. He pulled me closer and I laid my head on his chest, the covers covering my own. He sighed and his hand rubbed my shoulder. "Are you ready for that?" He asked. "Don't tell anyone this...you're the only one to know." I told him. He sighed and agreed. "I used to train Domino's quirk. Just for shits and giggles. My mom's quirk was easy to work with, it's all elemental, nothing too tough. But Black Magic? It's hard. I stole my dad's notebook from Aizawa's storage room one night...and began training myself ins secret...one day...I hurt myself on accident. Almost had something take over my body. I played it off as something else...but I overpowered it. Pretended like nothing happened and hid the book where no one would find out." I said. "I'm terrified." I said. He turned my face and kissed my lips softly again. "I believe in you Aratani Mae." He said against my lips. "Since you told me that...I can tell you about myself." He said. "Now?" I asked. "After the raid." He said. I nodded and laid on his chest. "I'll give you this much." He spoke. "My name is Touya." He said as I drifted off into a deep sleep.
