Believe Me

8 POV

I woke up on top of 3, who was still asleep. I focused on his breathing and the feeling of his presence. But I didn't notice the dark figure behind me... at least, not till it was too late.

3 POV

I woke up on the couch, but something was missing, it was too quiet, and 8 wasn't with me. I turned on the lights to aid my search, not that I really needed them. But after doing so, I immediately noticed a piece of paper on the counter, it looked like a hastily written note.
It read:

Dear Bastard,
I'm leaving you because I do not believe that you are a horrible person and you don't deserve to be loved. I appreciate that you tried to care for me, but you were so awful, I found someone better, and I'm glad I did.
With no love,
8
By the time I finished reading the note my hands were shaking and there were tears in my eyes. No, she... she couldn't have... she couldn't have... left?

8 POV

I awoke in a dark room, a room that looked like a cell. I kept quiet and still, noticing a camera in the corner, which means someone was watching me. 3! He... he won't know what was happening, he'll think I left! But I didn't, hopefully he'll figure it out, and come for me, because I don't want it to end like this. All of a sudden, the lights turned on, and the door slid open, revealing a figure.
"Marina?!"

3 POV

I stared at the note, then read it, and read it again, in more detail, noticing things about it. This paper is old, and 8 knows where the paper is, the handwriting is also a hasty scribble, not 8's delicate, looping figures, and she used a swear word, which she has never done in her life, because it makes her feel dirty. I don't think she wrote this note after all. I'm gonna check fingerprints.

8 POV

"Marina?!" I yelled.
"Yes?" She said.
"Where am I? Where's 3? What happened?" I asked.
"You're in a bunker outside the city. 3 is likely crying his hearts out after reading the note you left him, qand you've been kidnapped." She replied.
"W-wha?" I cried, "Why? Why did you do this?!"
"Because I couldn't stand the sight of you with that monster of a inkling! So I got some help from a community of guys that would obey my orders."
"They wouldn't become criminals just because you asked! What did you do!?" I yelled.
"Oh, well, they are being paid, just in another way~" Marina replied, winking lazily towards the camera.
"Y-you didn't..." I started, "but Pearl..."
"Doesn't need to know, this is a small price to pay to keep you safe and make sure the world is rid of that monster."
"He's not a monster. He's done bad things yes, like the street racing. He makes a lot of money from that, turf wars, and singing, but almost all of it goes to charity. He keeps enough to be able to live and to keep his personal projects running. That's it." I replied
"And how many personal projects does he have?" Marina asked.
"One, though it is quite large." I said.
"What is it?" Marina followed up.
"An escape plan." I said.
"An escape plan? From what? His crimes?" Marina jeered.
"No, the planet." I replied coolly
   "Huh?!" Marina cried, taken aback.
"He's prepared several rockets, one in every city, they are filled with enough food and water to last all inhabitants aboard several years, he plans to decloak them and evacuate the planet once the water gets too high for us to continue living here. Then they will all convoy together until another habitable planet is found. His apartment building is one of them." I told her.
"You're lying, he lied to you." Marina countered
"3 has never lied to me, and he never will." I replied.
"And how do you know?" Marina asked.
"Because I know him, and he knows me. We know Marina, as if we were by each other's side all of our lives. That's why he's gonna find me." I said.
"Ha! No one will ever find you." Marina smirked.
"3 will. Believe me. I guess that this is where we've come to. If you don't want to, you don't have to believe me. But I, won't be there when you go down, just so you know now, you're on your own now believe me." I said.

3 POV

"JARVIS, run the prints" I said.
"Of course sir." The A.I. replied.
I watched the monitor intently as the image rendered. Then I grinned, it wasn't 8. Which meant someone had taken her, and that someone, was going to DIE. Believe me, they will.

Hey guys, I'm kinda nearing the end on this one, but don't worry! I will start another story for those who somehow enjoy my writing, if those weirdos exist. Anyway, if I made any errors, let me know. The Golden Boi is out!
