Stephen was nervous that he would mess this up. "I want you to be mine, you are mine. So, together?"
"I would love that," you told the sorcerer as you cuddled against him. You weren't very sure of your feelings before but now you could see that you had just been hiding them all along. "You know. I think this is the best birthday present so far."
"We'll see," he had an evil glint in his eyes, aware of the surprises planned for today.
"Wait a sec! How did you know that I wanted to be yours?"
"I thought you said that out loud," Stephen said nervously.
"I didn't." Can you hear this?

"I guess that just proves that we're meant for each other dove."

"We could stay here for a few more minutes. This is nice. I don't think I've ever done this before."
"What do you mean?" Stephen asked while taking you up in his arms and bringing you to lay down in the bed.

"Well now you have me. I promise I won't hurt you."
"Really?" you questioned sticking out your pinky.
"Really," he promised while wrapping you into a hug and kissing your forehead.
-meanwhile at the tower-
"Alright, everyone! Operation Birthday Bash is a go!" Tony's voice rang throughout the tower.
Chaos seemed to fly through the air in the tower, crashes were heard every few minutes, people were flying in the air, and decorations seemed to be on every single space available. Spiderwebs covered people's faces, arrows stuck out of walls to hold up signs, and a large lightning mark was in the main room thanks to Thor getting too excited.
The final epitome of chaos was when Thor decided to bring an exotic creature from Asgard as a gift and tripped letting the creature escape into the tower while also letting out a simple "oops," like it was a daily occurrence. The runaway present leading to a 20-minute chase by the god and two super soldiers.
"Avengers Assemble!"
"What is it Tony? Clint and I were in the middle of hanging up Y/N's banner," the redhead assassin asked.
"Does anyone have any questions about the party or gifts? Because as the official planner this needs to be perfect." Slowly everyone raised their hands as Tony facepalmed from the lack of sleep and sarcasm. "Anyone have any questions that aren't sarcastic or stupid?" Everyone's hands went down as Tony sighed, "that's what I thought. Alright, get back to it. Everyone has gifts, right?" Surprisingly enough everyone nodded even Steve.
- at the sanctum-
"Alright, we can go now. I bet everyone is still hungover we're gonna have to do a lot of healing spells," you complained as you opened a portal to your room. "I'm sure everyone thinks I'm still asleep so we can just sneak in from there."
"Whatever you say, darling," you blushed in response, not getting used to the situation entirely.
"We're clear," you made your way over to the door that lead to the main room. Eventually, you peaked your head out and couldn't make out anyone in the dark of the hallway.
"Act natural!" Peter yelled to everyone from what sounded like the living room
"Stephen, what's going on?"
"Don't ask me," he said while smirking, getting ready for the surprise.
"Hey guys," you greeted some of the team as you walked into the main room, as Stephen quickly placed an illusion before you could see the decorations.
"So what were you and the sorcerer doing together?"
"Shut it bird-brain. What about you and Bucky?"
"Well played," Sam rolled his eyes as he secretly handed Bucky 40 dollars behind his back after noticing the closeness of you and Stephen as you walked into the room.
"Yeah. Stephen, can I talk to you in the kitchen?"
"Sure." You two made your way over to the kitchen.
"What are we gonna tell them?"
"We could just surprise them. Act like usual the whole day and then do something."
"Perfect. Now let's go find out why everyone is acting so fishy." You went to open the door itching to find out what was going on.
"SURPRISE!"
"Holy shit!" You squeaked your magic unconsciously activating in case of danger.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" The whole team yelled.
"You knew!" Deadpaning to Stephen who had a guilty smile on his face. "I can't believe you guys did this for me!"
"Anything for my favorite mortal!" Thor squished you in a rib-breaking hug, slowly crushing your lungs. You could see the clear jealousy on Stephen's face from a mile away while Natasha and Wanda laughed at the expression.
"Now for your big surprise Crazy," Tony pointed to a banner that was rolled up on the wall signaling for Peter and Clint to let it down

"I'm gonna faint," you whispered right before you collapsed, Stephen diving to catch you in his arms before you could hit the floor. After a few minutes you woke up, checking to make sure that the banner was still there and not some illusion, you smiled up at Stephen's face as he held you in his arms, "I'm going to be an Avenger."
