Stephen offered a hand to help you sit down on the blanket, which you gladly accepted. He placed a kiss before smiling and sitting next to you. A quick wave of his hand and a bouquet of the wild flowers that surrounded you appeared in it, he handed them to you, "For you."
"They're beautiful, Stephen." You admired them, an array of different colors and petal shapes, you could never pick a favorite there were so many options.
Silence surrounded the clearing as both you and the sorcerer admired the view. Your body found its way to curl against Stephen's own, soothed as his hands found their way to your hair, making little curls in it.
Stephen reached for a plate of crackers with assorted meats and cheese, offering them to you as you gladly accepted. "Did Wong make this?"
"He could never." Stephen laughed carelessly. "I offered him a twenty if he went and picked one up at the grocery store for me."
"Wow, that makes it so much more romantic." You teased, reaching for the bottle of wine that lay nearby and pouring yourself and Stephen a glass. "I love the Avengers but it's nice to get away for a bit."
"Tell me about it, I never thought Tony Stark would be one of my most frequent contacts." Stephen grumbled, as you hid a laugh, not needing to look at your own phone to tell it was the same with yourself.
"I never thought I'd even have frequent contacts." You requited, sending both you and Stephen into a fit of giggles.
"You know, I wish my parents hadn't gone, they would've loved you." Stephen smiled dorkily at you, as you hummed. "You really would've reminded them of the old times."
Stephen tried to get out of your way, only to feel the hit of your hand as you rolled your eyes. "I'm not sure about that. I wouldn't feel great if my son was dating someone past my age."
He shrugged as he pulled you in to lay your head against his shoulder, "I'm not sure they'd like the fact that I'm a master of the mystic arts either or that I stopped aging."
"One of the pros and cons of using the arts. Magic and the mystic arts take their toll, but for most the physical perks are worth it. Besides, it gives you even more years to have Tony as a frequent contact."
Stephen groaned, taking a large gulp of the wine in an attempt to erase the thought from his mind.
"Don't worry." Rubbing your thumb against his scarred hand, you could almost feel the contentness radiating from you both. "I'll be there to deal with it with you."
Stephen chuckled before he lightly teased, "That was soppy"
Huffing you rolled your eyes, prtedning to be annoyed at the lovable sorcerer who seemed to do so much for you, "Stephen Strange, you are very insufferable."
"Yeah, thanks, I've been told."

The picnic went surprisingly smooth, no interruptions, just time to yourselves away from the rest of the world and in the place you felt the most connection, nature. It would be a lie to say that you didnt miss when the cities werent overly populated with barely any green space, but at least New York held places like Central Park.
A trip to the coast or the mountains couldnt come any sooner, but that was an idea that would be on hold for the foreseeable future with the Hydra and AIM business being a prominent threat.
"I am damn tired." You werent typically one to complain but today had seemed to drain the energy from you and really everyone. "Cant wait to collapse and fall asleep to a movie."
"At the sanctum?" Stephen asked from the ground as you stretched, busy packing up the remains of the date.
"We can do whatever." Shrugging as you had not a care in the world at your location. "But I need to finish that Leonardo DiCaprio movie."
