You and Light were best friends, at least that's what you thought. he led you to believe that...

You were bored in his room while waiting for him to return home. His mom had let you in, but as you snooped through his things, you found nothing of interest in his dressers. Eventually, you decided to do your homework on his computer instead.

after a couple of minutes, his door opened, and it was light. Seeing him, you perk up
"Light!" You stood up from his chair "You took forever!"

He began to take off his coat, casting an angry glance in your direction. "What do you mean I took forever? I was at school, you know? The place YOU were supposed to be at. Why did you skip?"

the question always made you feel bad. You never really had a good reason. "I... just didn't want to go," you replied with a dumb grin.

Light gets even more annoyed "You can't just skip whenever you want!" He shouted at you. He didn't find your little antics amusing.

"How are you supposed to get a good job? You know there's a reason everyone calls you the stupidest person in school"
You pout "That's why I didn't want to go... everybody there is stupid,"

Light rolls his eyes with a sigh going over to sit down at his desk "How about instead of skipping and getting stupider, you prove them wrong?" he glances at the computer screen seeing your homework already pulled up" Hm. Homework? And I didn't even have to tell you to do it? At least I can see that you care but... half of these are WRONG!"

You let him talk while you ignored him, then sat down on his bed, falling backward onto his back. There was a brief silence before he spoke again.

"Wait, who even let you in?!"

"Um, your mom, of course. She loves me," you replied with a smile, picking up a magazine you found on his bed.

"Of course she did," he groaned. He hated how well you and his mother got along. "You can't keep coming over here. Don't you have any other friends?" He stood up and snatched the magazine out of your hand.

You stand as well with a stupid smile and go over and hug him tightly which annoys him"Nope! I don't need any cause we're best friends," you say half-jokingly.

"Ugh, whatever you say..."

...

You yawned as you rubbed the sleep out of your eyes feeling the weight of a new day dawn on you.
You got up, got dressed, ate, then you were off to work.

You worked at a coffee shop. (stereotype smh)
You're one of the few people who work there, but you practically own the place. Currently, you're behind the counter taking orders, which is what you're good at and what you usually do. You have excellent customer service skills.

"Hello, welcome," you say as you hear the welcoming bell on top of the door ring
A very odd looking man walks in, but you aren't one to judge. He has messy black hair, and basic looking clothes, a white T-shirt and baggy jeans. something about him is familiar

as he walks up to the counter you get a strange vibe. "Uh, hi could I get a coffee?" He asked looking straight through you as if you weren't even there... he seemed almost annoyed at the sight of you. You usually don't care much for anyone other than Light, but this guy strikes a chord with you. he feels oddly familiar.

You snap out of your thoughts "Uh, a coffee? just regular black coffee??" You ask, forcing a smile
"No," he sighs as if he really was annoyed at you "the sweetest coffee you have"

okay, what kind of answer is that? he didn't even look at the menu "We have a menu- okay whatever.. coming right up! Wait, I need your name for your order." you get ready to put it into the computer, same with his order
"Ryuzaki" that's all he said before he left and went to find a seat

You don't know why you feel this way... like you know him? or maybe he just gives u off vibes? he kinda stuck you like a weirdo so...

You start making his coffee

you have finished the coffee then call out his name.

"Ryuzaki, your coffee's ready!" There was no answer. You could see the man sitting at the table not far from you, but he remained silent, choosing to ignore you.

"Ryuzaki? Your coffee?" You looked directly at him, having a clear view of his table. It felt like he was deliberately being difficult. After a moment, he glanced your way, pretending to be surprised that you were speaking to him.

"Oh, my coffee's done? Bring it here," he gestured for you to come closer.

Your eyebrow twitched in irritation, but you sighed and walked over to him, drink in hand. Placing the coffee on his table, you finally noticed an older man sitting across from him, someone you found oddly familiar—more so than Ryuzaki.

You froze and took a step back.

...
You know the older man... you can't believe it! He was the owner of the orphanage where you grew up. You called him Mr. Wammy because you didn't know his real name, but now he's standing right in front of you! Why is he here?!

He stares at you and gives you a kind smile

you just stand there unable to think of what to do. you kinda thought you'd never see him again

"Ma'am, did you need something?" ryuzaki asked giving you an annoyed look seemingly bothered that you were still at his table.

You realized you were staring. you look over the black haired guy and the older man
"Um, no... it's just- um," you paused "Do I know you two?" You ask awkwardly

ryuzaki looked at you blankly " I assure you that I have never seen you before in my life"
