"Y/n, what are you doing here?" Light asked with a confused tone, looking down at you as you stood in his front door.

"I just wanted to hang out with you" You give him an awkward smile with some hints of nervousness.
He crosses his arms and looks at you unamused: "It's late. My mom and Suya are going to be suspicious."

"I'm sorry for coming over at this hour but I just wanted to talk for a minute" You look at him with a slight pout then Light lets out a sigh, moving out of the way to let you inside. He leads you into his room. You go sit down on his bed and he sits at the chair at his desk facing you. he folds his arms again, giving you a stern look "so? you wanted to talk? Talk. Why have you been acting so weird as of lately?" Light asks, expression still stern.

 He wanted to know about earlier at the cafe.

You start to sweat not knowing what to say. you weren't really given a script "You think I'm acting weird? How... so?"

Light huffs with no amusement. he knows something is up with you"You haven't been at school, or answer my text, or come by in a week and you gave me no explanation"
you sigh knowing Light isn't going to let this go "I...! I have a funny thing to ask you..." you awkwardly laugh and change the subject. Lights ears perk up "Shoot"

you take a breath before speaking again. "So... I think I already know the answer but I just have to ask... Are you Kira?" you glance at him with a nervous look and Light just stares at you, before a slight darkened look crosses his face, looking down slightly. he began to let out a laugh before he spoke again. "I knew you were stupid but... Is this an actual question?" the dark look fades and he looks at you like you're an idiot.

"So is the answer... No, or... Yes?"

"No, you idiot" he huffs looking at you annoyed "Why are you even asking me that? I mean, why do you even think that?"

you sit a little straighter in your seat "Well you told me Kira needed a face and a name to kill people and I realized... nobody knew that... is that even true?" of course you didn't believe that Light could be Kira but you were a little curious. you see cogs moving in light's mind. you didn't know this but he never thought you'd be able to come to that conclusion on your own.

"I don't know if that's true but... it's a guess. you see I actually wanted to help out on the Kira investigation myself. it was nothing but a simple guess with the information I already had"

you exhale. that actually made a lot of sense to you. Light was incredibly smart and he told you he wanted to be a detective when he's older. "Ohhh... That makes sense..." You ease up a bit, but Light stands up from his chair taking steps closer to you. "Is that really why you've been avoiding me? Y/n.."

you look away for a second unsure how to answer. The answer was no but you couldn't just tell him he was being investigated by L now, and that there are tons of cameras in his house! You couldn't let anyone know you knew L's true identity.

Light comes closer and grabs your shoulders making you slightly blush, looking down at you with reassuring eyes. you weren't expecting him to touch you. it was out of his character. "Hey... I'm not a murderer... I'm not Kira. I'm your friend. you know me" You think he must really think that's the reason you were avoiding him.

his grasp on you is surprisingly tender, rubbing his hands up and down your arms like he is trying to reassure you. "I can't believe you would think I'd be Kira and actually confront me on that! What if I was Kira, Huh? I would've have killed you in an instant without hesitation if I thought someone was on to me" he puts a hand on his hip. He was talking to you but was he really? or was he talking to someone else?
