Ryan wasn't sure about what he was feeling. Surely the things that had transpired not just hours ago between him and Hope had impacted the peaceful silence that had developed between them, since the day she took his life by storm.

He knew her enough to know that she was too stubborn to say anything about the event, but what surprised him was that she wasn't even willing to look at him.

Maybe he should try? Even if he tried, what would he say? Maybe he could try approaching her with a question about the kiss, something like- Hey! I had a question about the kiss. Scratch it. He could ask her indirectly, like something along the lines of- Why aren't you looking at me? You were looking at me just fine a couple hours ago.

Nope. He should get straight to the point probably. No questions and no twisting. If only he had any idea on how to do that. Years of living and this was the first time he actually did not know how to talk to someone. Words had always been his strong suit. It didn't help his confidence that Hope was acting as if nothing had happened between them. As if they hadn't kissed. As if she didn't tease him. Maybe she thought of it as a mistake. Of course she would think of it as a mistake, why would she want him, she could easily have anyone she wanted.

He also didn't get why she insisted on them being in the same motel room this time, she had always compelled separate ones for them. His body still feeling Hope's body on him and his mind preoccupied with the thoughts of their kiss drifted in various directions of where they could go, but he thought it would be better if he didn't dream a lot. All of his plans, dreams and preparation went in vain.

To add to the problems he still had no idea about what Trudy and the Triad wanted from him. One thing was clear- He was very involved in the plan that Triad had even before Hope came back to his life.

He looked up from his position on the bed and looked at her. She was sitting on the desk reading the triad book. The bloody book. Will she ever finish reading it? Now that he thought about it, killing the werewolf had been comparatively easy as compared to what the vampire had in store for them. Not to add that he had escaped. He was probably somewhere out right now, planning his next move on how to kill them and especially kill him, while he lay in bed contemplating his life and wondering how to talk about a kiss, like a teenager.

"You want to say something?"

He looked up to her when he heard her question. Yes he wanted to say something, obviously he wanted to say something. Starting from the question of what else she knew about Trudy to what their next plan was? Questions about the kiss they shared. He wanted to ask a lot of questions, but there was no way he was going to do that, even if he did, he was sure she wasn't going to answer him.

"I was wondering where we are going?" He asked, choosing to ask the safe questions before he went to the complicated ones.

"As of now, Nowhere really, I was just thinking of keeping our eyes open and planning something."

"Can I say something, If you don't mind. "

"I do mind."

"Hope.."

"Stop saying my name." She spat as she turned to look at him and then just as quickly turned back to read her book again.

"Ok." So now he was not allowed to even say her name. So much for freedom of speech. "Rasmus escaped. He is still alive and he is probably going to the witch and.."

"And what?" She turned around with a bored expression on her face. "Let him escape, we will find him along with the witch, stop being so paranoid and scared. Take some rest, go to sleep. Your very annoying human body needs that."
