"Shit.." I said tiredly, collapsing on the ground. It was nightfall. I trained for at least two hours before the sun started going down.

I covered my mouth with my hand, feeling horrible.

"Eren?" Mikasa said, looking down at me with a concerned expression. I was on my hands and knees at that point when she ran over to me, hurling my stomach out the moment she set foot by my body.

"Eren!"

"Maybe we were too hard on him..." Armin said, worry evident on his face.

I was in so much pain and only after being able to transform up to three times. I began to nosebleed as well.

After I was done vomiting on the grass out in the darkness, I laid on my back. My breathing was heavy and I felt lightheaded.

"Eren, talk to me! How do you feel?!" Mikasa shouted, trying to keep me conscious.

"I-It hurts...."
I felt so weak to the point where I couldn't do anything myself, but I forced myself to at least act as if I was okay.

"I'll be fine."

"I'm sorry." Said that one, peaceful voice again.

Levi was standing over me with an expressionless face.

"Get away from him!" Mikasa shouted at Levi.

He only sighed and moved closer to me, ignoring her. He bent down on one knee and examined my body. Mikasa gave him a hardened glare.

"M-Mikasa, calm down."

She looked back at me with a worried face and sighed.

"Next time we'll make sure to take the experiment slower."

He then put his hand on my arm, lifting it so he could get a clear sight. I noticed I had a slash going down my forearm. For some odd reason, my titan powers weren't allowing it to heal like usual.

His touch sent chills down my spine. Levi's hands were surprisingly soft as a pillow..

I never imagined his hands to feel so smooth against one's skin..

"..Where did that come from?" I asked myself.

"Eren, does it hurt?" Mikasa asked, still worried out of her mind. Right at that moment I gained a nosebleed.

"Ah jeez." Levi said, now sounding annoyed.

"It stings, that's all."

"Armin, go get the first aid kit from inside the cabin." He ordered.

"Yes sir."

Armin rushed to the cabin across the field from where everyone else and I were.

"Hange, go roundup Sasha, Connie, Historia, and Jean. They should still be at their lookout stations. We're headed back to Karanes District." Levi directed.

"On it."

"Eren, can you walk?"

I moved my legs, tried bending my knees. Everything hurt.

"N-no sir. I can barely move my legs.."

I lifted myself up from laying down and wiped my nose on my sleeve.

Levi sighed.

He seemed frustrated..making me feel even worse than before. I felt like I was holding everyone back and I hated every second of it.

Looking down with his usual expressionless face, I realized I had never once seen Levi smile, nor did the others at the time. Though, given what was occurring with the titan massacres in different districts, and with my titan ability acting faulty, there wasn't much to smile about.

"Mikasa, leave Eren with me. Go help round up the horses and get them ready to leave."

My heart skipped a beat the second I realized I was about to be alone with the Captain..

"You sure?" Mikasa gave Captain Levi a stern look, indicating she didn't trust him.

"I am. You were given an order, now go. Eren is safe with me if that's what you're so worried about."

"...Fine."
She then deployed her ODM gear, swinging past trees and hooking her anchor to the side of the cliff.

I then realized I was finally alone with him. Levi Ackerman, was staring down at me, examining the lower part of my body for any more wounds. I watched his beautiful dull gray eyes adjust every few seconds.
